Auto Rickshaw — overcharging by auto driver

My son was coming from school (Giis chinchwad) to our society (Greens, thergaon). Generally with ola its rs. 50. But, as my son was not carrying phone he got a auto rickshaw on the road. He asked for rs. 100, which is double the normal amount. When he dropped my son at society he asked for rs. 150. Can traffic police take a strict action against driver?
