B. E. S. T. Undertaking — Deplorable condition of bus-stop at Deonar Depot

Condition of Bus stop close to Shivaji statue at Deonar Depot for buses towards Chembur/Sion etc., is pathetic. No shelter has been provided and there is no place where passengers including children, ladies and senior citizens can wait except on the road in the midst of traffic . The pavement just behind the BEST post (with the bus numbers) is now occupied by a Vada-Pav booth, which does all the washing on the pavement and a manhole cover on the has been removed by them to dispose of their waste, to add to the risk for poor passengers. The following steps need to be taken immediately for the passengers: 1. Install a shelter 2. Move the Vada-Pav booth by a few meters away. 3. Mark the area at the bus-stop as No-parking area and 4.Regular inspection and strict maintenance for the use of passengers who are paying for the services currently not provided. Thank you.
