[Resolved] Bajaj Allianz — Insurance Claim Repudiated | |||
This was a death claim against this unit link policy 70523944 which my Late Father had taken up on 10/12/2007 from Bajaj Allianz. He had payed the first premium of Rs.25000 accordingly against this policy. Unfortunately my Father passed away on 09-April-2008 and I had made the death claim against this policy.My Father did have diabetes and he had declared the same in the policy document.The agent who was well acquainted with my father confirmed that there was no need to submit any documents regarding the medical health of my father.But after submitting the death claim along with other medical documents to Bajaj Allianz, they have repudiated the claim understating that my father delibaretly concealed the condition of his health, and material facts were suppressed. In my opinion if my Father had known at the time of doing this policy that he cannot do the policy as he had diabetes and high BP, he would not have wasted his money on this policy. Moreover the Hospitalization and the Medical Document that were submitted and the First Doctor who detected that My father was sufferring from Cancer was well after the policy Date. In these circumstances I do not understand how come Diabetes and High blood Pressure which are so common can be reason for repudiating a claim. Was this information helpful? | |||
