Bajaj Finance Limited — Regarding Recovery Agent Harassment, Mental Torture of Pregnant Wife

I am constrained to write this complaint regarding the continuous harassment and highly unprofessional conduct of your recovery agent Mr. Sumit, mobile number [protected]. The situation has now become extremely serious and is causing severe mental stress not only to me but also to my family members.

The said agent is repeatedly visiting my residence and creating unnecessary pressure. On multiple occasions, he has come outside my house, created disturbances, spoken in a rude and disrespectful manner, and continuously pressured me for payment despite being fully aware of my financial difficulties. Instead of discussing a solution or providing reasonable time, he is resorting to intimidation and harassment tactics.

I would specifically like to bring to your attention that my wife is pregnant and currently under medical care. Despite informing the agent about her condition, he continues to visit my residence repeatedly and create a stressful atmosphere. Due to these repeated visits and constant pressure, my wife is under tremendous stress and anxiety. I am genuinely concerned that this continuous harassment may adversely affect her health and pregnancy.

I fail to understand whether this is the recovery mechanism being followed by Bajaj Finance. Is repeatedly visiting a customer's residence, creating fear among family members, and mentally disturbing a pregnant woman part of your approved recovery practices? If any medical complications arise due to the stress and anxiety caused by these actions, who will take responsibility for the consequences?

Another concerning aspect is that the agent rarely communicates through normal phone calls. Most communications are made only through WhatsApp calls and messages. This raises serious concerns because WhatsApp calls cannot be easily recorded, making it difficult for customers to preserve evidence of the conversations and conduct of recovery personnel. Such conduct creates a lack of transparency and accountability.

I would like to place on record that I have never refused repayment of my dues. I am only facing temporary financial difficulties and have repeatedly requested reasonable time to arrange funds. However, instead o[censored]nderstanding my situation, your representative is continuously harassing me and my family.
