Bank Of Baroda — case of mis-selling sr branch manager bob | |||
I am a client of the bank for the past 8 years and hold a savings bank account in your bakarganj, kanpur, up - 208023 branch. I had requested for a fixed deposit for almost all of my savings which was rs.1049850/- (Ten lakhs forty nine thousand eight hundred fifty rupees) to the senior branch manager, mr. Adesh mittal. He assured me that after a year i would get at least 7% extra as an interest amount. I agreed for it on 15th-feb-2018. I visited the same branch on 18th-feb-2019 and i met another branch manager, ashutosh, he explained me that it was not a fixed deposit but a mutual fund account. Moreover instead of getting interest on my principal amount, it has now been reduced to rs.988646.32 (Nine lakh eighty eight thousand six hundred forty six rupees and thirty two paisa) which i consider very dis heartening. I feel cheated by my banker that i trusted all my life without a second thought. If at all the previous manager had explained me the consequences for a mutual fund account, i would never have taken that for such a big amount. I have trusted bank of baroda all my life and i want to continue to bank with you in all my banking needs. Request you to kindly register my complaint as it’s a case of mis-selling.
