I have an query regarding formalities n documentations or credit card application. A person & his family including spouse n daughters having an individual sb ac's in b. O. I branch : market complex bldg. Sector 15/16, vashi navi mumbai 400703. Had gone to the chf. Mngr. Of the mentioned branch requested him about the credit card with a limit of 80% to be granted against the fd of 1 lacs rupees that had been made on the name of her daughter as per 1 of the easiest way suggested by him to obtain credit card on her name. As she had just finished with her graduation n looking for a job. Her parents wants their daughter shall stand on her own feets & avail all the facilities n benefits in todays e-com. World.

The ch. Mngr. Burdened them with bulk of documentation & formalities as he can only grant 20-25% (20000 to 25000 amount) against the fd of 1 lac rupees which was shall be kept in the custody of bank.

Now my query to the concerned authorities is as

1) is this not a type of harassment to the innocent customer where he n his family is operating his their entire family accounts in the same branch from past 2-3 decades.

2) are there any superior authorities keeping an eye on these type of officers n managers. Who trying to be over smart seems to simply escaping from their duties n responsibilities by threatening the customers with a bulk load of documentation formalities?

3) does it make any sense of taking a credit card of such a reputed nationalized bank. Who grants the credit limit o 20-25% against the fd of 1 lacs rupees (@ 6.30% roi annual) which is made from the same bank branch?

4) when other co-operative & other such banks where provide roi more than the boi. Then what is the use of making fd only to fool the customer?

5) when in 21st century where we speak slogans of "women empowerment" where is the respect of modi ji slogan "beti bachao beti padhao"?

It is my humble request to the concerned authorities & to the customer service team of the concerned department. To look into the matter and do the needful asap for the betterment of society so to feel nation proud.
