Bank Of India — Home Loan Insurance | |||
I have a home loan account at Bank of India Bangur Avenue Branch in Kolkata, West Bengal. When I borrowed my home loan it was said that property insurance is mandatory for 1 year. Hence I requested to do the same for 1st year only. Also during my loan processing, I gave consent over email (to the loan processing center) that I do not require any kind of insurance of my own. So as per my request, my 1st property insurance premium was deducted last year, which should not be extended any further. But yesterday I got an SMS from Bank of India that Rs. 11154.00 has been deducted from my account for insurance premium again!! How can the branch deduct my money without my consent? I haven't opted for any property insurance from 2nd year onwards. Yesterday I called the branch manager on this number:[protected], but someone else picked up the call and did not forward the call to the branch manager. I immediately need the full refund of that amount (Rs. 11154.00). Additional Note: It has been a very pathetic banking experience with this bank. I need a proper resolution for all of the mentioned issues as soon as possible, please! 1. Previously they deducted a huge amount as interest on my home loan just because of their own mistake (during lockdown period). I emailed several times to head office, branch and zonal email ids to get the refund but no one replied. 2. Also for my previous property insurance premium (which I had paid last year), they did not provide me with any policy document for that. 3. Now they have extended that policy without my permission. Continuously I'm having financial loss with this bank and no one bothers to help from their end. Was this information helpful? | |||
