Bank Of India — Incorrect name in online banking record | |||
I am maintaining a saving account with Bank of India, Anant Nagar Branch, Nagpur vide account No.[protected]. I have been provided the Internet Banking facility for the above account. Login Password and Transaction Password were sent to me vide two separate letters dated 08.04.2021. However, in the said letters, my surname has been mentioned incorrectly as ‘TRIVEDI’ instead of ‘TIWARI’. Recently I transferred funds to my share broker on 16.05.2021 for purchase of shares but in the NEFT receipt, my name is printed as ‘ABHIJEET JITENDRAKUMAR TRIVEDI’ instead of ABHIJEET JITENDRAKUMAR TIWARI’. The share broker informed me that the funds transferred cannot be invested in the name of ‘ABHIJEET JITENDRAKUMAR TIWARI’ due to variation in name. I submitted an application directly to the bank for correction in the internet banking details on 17.05.2021. However, the mistake in name has not been corrected till now. Today I transferred fund through NEFT and the NEFT receipt is showing the sender's name still incorrectly as 'ABHIJEET JITENDRAKUMAR TRIVEDI'. Was this information helpful? | |||
