My nri savings account has been closed by bank of india, singapore branch. To my surprise on inquiring i was told kyc updation missing.
There was no message from bank in this regard. Moreover, the account can be suspended for kyc updation and not closed.
My passport copy with bank expired on 25.12.2018. They should have informed me to send new copy for kyc updation. But they closed my account and are refusing to activate it.
I would like to lodge a complaint against the bank hegemony and harassment for dereliction of their duty to inform the costumer timely for latest banking guidelines for which the service charges are deducted from the account of the holder.
