Bank Of Maharashtra — Bank didn't inform us regarding changes in savings account. | |||||
Dear sir/madam Jai hind My mother has saving acc. With bank of maharastra main branch at rajkot gujarat. Acc. Was not in much use and had 1300rs. Last they changed min. Bal. To 1500rs. Then they started charging fine, deduct all 1300rs. And now asking for fine. They said that they informed by sms but our number wasn't in their database as my mother is senior citizen and i'm living in abroad. So i would like to know how fair and legal is it? The banks are all assuming that the all people who are having bank accounts are 100% literate and all the people have mobile phones? Plus we have never received any letter from bank of maharashtra related to account information or such a change. So what shall we do? Please guide us. I'm waiting for your response please.
