I have had the worst experience partnering with the Citi NRI Checking and Deposit services.
To begin with they make the enrollment process as difficult and impossible as they could. In an age where all transactions are done electornically, they want paper mails to be mailed to them, which slows down the process considerably.
Everytime you call their Customer Service office, you can only speak to someone in India. You are never connected ot their US offices. The poor guys at the help desk are usually following a script and have no empathy to the situation a consumer might be going through.
Their website is the worst I have ever seen. Considering India is supposed to be leading the technology way, the Citibank Website the hardest to navigate and impossible to extract any information.
They don't understand the concept of time or urgency.
I have been trying to close my account with them and with the currency crashed, every day is crucial and once again they operate like an insurance company giving you the run around and ignoring or overlooking all your requests.
I would highly recommend all consumers considering a relationship with Citi on their NRI services to Steer clear of this bank.. You will not only lose your money, but also might have raised blood pressure and a looming heart attack delaing with these folks.. Was this information helpful? |
