I had booked a trip to Kashmir and Vaishno Devi through Bharath Booking in the month of April, and I must say, it has been one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had with a travel agency. I had high hopes for this trip, especially since it was a family vacation from Bangalore, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a series o[censored]nfortunate events.
First off, I was charged a hefty 60K for an 8-day, 7-night itinerary, which, as it turned out, excluded several major sightseeing spots. To make matters worse, our trip was cut short to just 5 days and 4 nights due to the unfortunate attack in Pahalgam. I completely understand that safety comes first, but what I don’t understand is the lack of communication and support from Bharath Booking during this crisis. While airlines and hotels were offering refunds and flexible options, I have yet to receive any response regarding my refund, even after three months of waiting. It feels incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
On the first day, instead of a hotel for refreshment as promised, we were taken straight to sightseeing. With a small child in tow, we were left scrambling to find a place to change into warmer clothes, which was particularly challenging given the weather. We ended up changing in a public restroom, which was far from ideal. The lack of proper planning and consideration for our comfort was evident right from the start.
As if that wasn’t enough, our Vaishno Devi trip was canceled due to landslides, and we had to adjust our plans to spend more time in Srinagar. The hotel we were provided was not up to standard, and when we requested a change, our request was flatly denied. This led to further discomfort, and unfortunately, my daughter fell ill due to hygiene issues at the hotel.
Overall, my experience with Bharath Booking has been nothing short of a nightmare. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice. A vacation should be a time of joy and relaxation, not stress and disappointment.
