Bharat Petroleum [BPCL] — New gas connection extra charges

Dear sir,

I have purchased one glass Cook Top Gas Stove from Vijay sales, goregaon, Mumbai on my name is Mr.Saral Mehta when I was staying on rented home in Goregaon, where there is gas pipeline on owner’s name available.

Now, recently, we have shifted to another rented home in Kandivali, Mumbai.

Then I have applied new Gas connection in Bharat Gas on my wife’s name. But, my application was denied stating the product which I have purchased is not ISI certified. They said, I have purchased non ISI certified product sold by company & they will not provide connection on my gas stove untill I purchase new gas stove from them.

I have called my company Elica & they confirmed me on phone & in email also that their company is ISO[protected] certified & also confirmed that BIS/ISI mark is applicable to only met gas stove & not applicable to glass top gas stove. All their products are thoroughly checked under strong quality guidelines of ISO standards & they have never faced such complaint from any of their customers.

I seriously urged to your company to resolve my problem on urgent on war foot basis.
Your agency manager & entire staff are very rude, arrogant & non cooperative . Even, they are not ready to give us rejection reason in writing. The mechanic who visited my home has simply mentioned model no & left in 5 minutes without checking anything & for that your agency charged Rs.250/- from us. They are asking us to buy to meet their sales target. They told us to buy this only for formalities for sales target achievement & later you just gift it anyone but buy this from their agency. They are taking undue advantages of being new – nonfamilier to this location & only one point of contact to buy gas connection. All this shows mollified intention to loot new customer like us of your gas agency manager.

However, it is come to my knowledge from my colleague that this Kandivali east agency has sold one glass top gas stove of three burner to her along with his new connection where there is no where ISI mark available.

How can your company on one side demand ISI mark on my glass top 3 burner gas & on other side sale non ISI mark glass top 3 burner gas to another customer along with her new connection? This is clear cut cheating by your appointed agency manager.

Agency name is Mahavir agency & not at all ready to tell their names & give anything in writing. The worst experience I have faced. How can any sales agency be so arrogant in this competitive world.no body from Bharat gas company has called till time & even not reverted on complaint made on their official site, call center or on email.
