BMC — Complaint regarding Stray Dogs
Respected Sir/ Madam, We wish to bring to your notice that our family comprising of myself Mr. Bonnie R. Johns (69 years), Mrs. Lorna Johns (67 years) and Mr.Jason Johns (27 years) residing at St. Paul Street, Dadar, Mumbai – 400014- F South Ward, Mumbai Maharashtra are facing immense trouble due the menace of the stray dogs.We fully understand that stray dogs or any other animals are an essential part of the city ecosystem but when there are too many of them it is causing a very big problem. The problems encountered are as such :1. The strays chase and bark at every moving person or vehicle. This has happened to us as well.2. The strays bark through the night and even fight through the night which is causing a disturbance to our sleep. My son is a lecturer at a college and due to the strays barking he is hardly getting 3 to 5hours of sleep per day3. Due to constant barking between the neighbour’s dogs and the strays even we are facing health issues like high blood pressure, anxiety and sleeplessness due to the constant barking4. The number of the strays has also increased as afew of them gave babies in the month of March 2020 . This has led to the increase in the number of strays, in addition to the ones already existing and the territorial fights between the male stray dogs.We request you to vaccinate and sterilise all the strays in the locality as per the government regulation Animal Birth Control (Dogs)Rules, 2001 and guidelines from the Animal welfare Board of India so that wemay have a peaceful sleep and less trouble. We have informed the landlord of the same.Do let us know if we have to inform other authorities as well Waiting in anticipation for your reply, Mr. Bonnie R. Johns, Mrs. Lorna Johns & Mr. Jason Johns Was this information helpful?
