My X5 SUV MH01 AH 3697 was given to resolve poor AC performance and replacing right air spring on 19/09/2016 which was given back to me on 01/10/16 with no AC issue resolved. It was recommended that AC Air controller unit was faulty and once it is renewed then AC will work efficiently. There was no explanation or update on why it had taken such long time for job which should have been done in 2-3 days other than we are sorry. Lot of inconvenience was caused to me plus AC performance became worse thereafter.

Further more, I asked supervisor prior ordering AC air controller unit if it will resolve AC efficiency problem or only erratic AC air flow would be resolved. I was told that AC was not working efficiently due to controller issue and it will be resolved. I told supervisor that no cure no pay and asked to get AC controller parts. Car was again given to service centre for resolving AC job on 08/11/2016. I was called again on 9th saying job was done and AC working efficiently. I checked and found that erratic flow of AC air flow was rectified but AC performance was poor and was same as before. The outside temperature was 27 Deg.C and Car Cabin temperature was 25 Deg.C . Portable Temperature sensor was showing 20 Deg.C in dashboard flap at lowest AC temperature setting of 16 Deg.C. Supervisor and technician argued with me that AC is working fine. I said, nothing doing, unless temperature in dashboard flap shows between 4 to 8 Deg.C at medium AC airflow, I will not accept. They said, they will check again. I told them that I would like to meet Manager for such poor service and not listening to customer. Next day on 10th PM again I was called saying it is working fine. On checking with temperature sensor in dash board flap and 25 Deg.C cabin temperature, 18 Deg.C inside dash board AC flap was observed when outside temperature was 27 Deg, C. Supervisor was adamant that AC is working fine as per them. I requested for work manager to come and check. She also said AC is Ok. Nobody was understanding or willing to understand that AC was not working properly. Then Controller incharge was called who could hear my point of view. I asked him to get other X5 and check temperature. It was done and observed that inside dashboard AC flap, it was showing 4.3 Deg.C temperature and cabin was cooled. Then they agreed that there is AC issue but fault finding machine was not showing anything wrong. I told them that it is AC heat exchange issue most likely and they need to clean externally condenser and go further fault finding. What surprised me was that in such big service centre, there was no AC specialist technician and everybody was supposed to know bit but found none knowing how Ac works and how efficiency can deteriorate if certain part has issue. Today is 13th and I am awaiting for feedback which they never give. You have to be behind them, I think, roadside garage can give better service than them and serious review is necessary.     Sir I hv purchased secondhand BMW 320d in sept.2016.the original purchase date was 20 th April 2012. I am the second owner of the car. Since it is 4 years old & merely run approximately only one lakh kilometres & because of single owner I immediately purchased it from one of car vendor. But on 1st November as I went for the drive while turning the vehicle suddenly the axis or sleeve of left front wheel was almost crack down & wheel is almost turn horizontal.sir imagine if car was in high speed it would have been great disaster to car & to my life too.sir it is not expected from BMW as it is prestigious car company.As company has name, great reputation for cars.so you are therefore requested to kindly look into matter & justice be done as soon as possible.

          I own a bmw x1 it was parked at my building when I don't know how my sunroof rear side broke by itself ...I gave it to navnit service centre in andheri east ..they replaced the glass of 29000 in insurance m took 5 days to replace ..fair enough ...now on the 5th day the service centre guy calls me saying that sir your lock has been broken of the cardboard thing that closes n opens beneath the sunroof and that the whole assembly needs to be replaced and 250000 is the cost of the assemble n I wil have to bear half the cost ...when I gave the car everything was in perfect condition and they broke the lock while fitting the glass and now asking 250000 from me. ..I am really ashamed to have owned this car ...

            I purchased my car in the year September 2012. However, in May 2016 the car's air conditioning system stopped working. I got it checked at a authorised service centre in Faridabad. I was informed that the compressor as well as the condenser needed to be replace and the cost would be more than a lac. I was surprised as any other car even below 5 lacs also has compressor life of 10-15 years. The compressor was only used for 3 summers. Earlier also I've spent a lot on this car and I feel that the part failure is much higher in any other car.
            The following problems have been faced:
            1. Failure of steering pulley within 2 years
            2. Failure of damper pulley at around 32, 000km
            3. Control arm damper oil leaked within 3 years
            4. Shocker fluid leaked within 3 years
            5. Screeching sound from the music system started coming within a year
            6. Cracked art leather seats within a year
            7. Failure of ac compressor.

            Sir, please let me know what should be my course of action as I'm very dissatisfied with the performance of your product.

              Hi,
              I got BMW 520 bought just few months back.
              I drive on good rod from Jamnagar to Rajkot most of time and two times to Ahmeadabad.
              Generally my driver he driver the car and he is expert for Merc, Volvo, BMW and he is with me since last 1 year.
              Before few days back I drive the car and I found vibration on starring and called Rajkot base service center, they told me to come service centre and they done the test drive they also found vibration. They checked all the wheels and found damage. How is it possible in four wheels at a time.
              I want you to replace me immediately.

                Poor, unprofessional and unsatisfactory service.
                To whom it may concern:
                On the 16th of September 2016 I’ve booked my vehicle (BMW 320 I 2006 model, registration VBY 237GP) at the Midrand BMW branch. Delivered my vehicle on Monday the 19th September 2016.
                Reasons:
                1. Service
                2. Leakage of water (bottom of the engine)
                3. Leakage of oil.
                Not informing me that my vehicle would be in for two days !!!
                My vehicle was only supposed to be booked in for only one day where it ended up for two days. Tuesday at roundabout 12 o’clock on the 20th of September 2016 Midrand BMW called me to inform me that my vehicle was ready for collection. I arrived at BMW Midrand to collect my vehicle and asked if all relevant work had been done including the service, to which their reply was “no”!
                Please bare in mind that they had already had the vehicle for two days and I then had to wait for them to service it.

                Upon my arrival at home, I noticed an immense amount of water/oil/coolant was leaking out from under the engine and when I opened my bonnet I found loose engine covers, bolts and nuts. I eventually managed to get hold of Mr. Paul Rodrigues whom is the customer Care manager at Midrand BMW and informed him about my findings on my vehicle where he just told me that he is not even supposed to take this call due to the fact that he has to go and pick up his kids at school. I asked if a technician could please come to my home to see what the problem was, which they duly did. There was nothing that the technicians could do so they then arranged for my vehicle to be collected the following morning and taken back to be re-checked and to be repaired as should have been the case on Monday the 19th of September 2016.
                After been promised that the vehicle would be collected the following morning, I was still pushed from pillar to post in order for this to be done, including speaking to Paul Rodrigues who was tantamount to rude to me regarding this issue, however, after standing my ground, Mr. Rodrigues eventually arrived at my home with a technician to collect my vehicle at 11:00am, which he called “nice and early”!!!

                BMW Midrand then phoned me back and informed me that they need to replace the water pump and thermostat on my vehicle.
                Cost involved for Monday and Tuesday added up to R4 598, 66 which I paid on Tuesday the 20th of September 2016 and with the extra repairs on their findings on Wednesday, added an additional amount of R7 200, 00. Therefore if I did let them do the repairs on the water pump and the thermostat the total amount payable by me would have ended up to R11 798, 66.
                I then asked them if I could arrange for my vehicle to be released and towed away by my insurance company to another known mechanic in Krugersdorp. The reason for this was due to unacceptable/sub-standard workmanship/cost and customer service. They agreed and I endeavoured for my vehicle to be removed on Thursday the 22nd of September 2016.
                I phoned BMW Midrand on 22 September 2016 in order to organise the release of my vehicle for the purposes of towing it away. My details were taken and I was informed that someone would phone me and confirm this… to date, I am still waiting for someone to call me to inform me that this would be acceptable.
                I had to call them again on the Friday morning 23 September 206 in order to see what the decision was, only to be told that everything had been arranged on the Thursday…..as I mentioned, no one from BMW Midrand bothered to call me to inform me.
                Only on Friday the 23rd of September, my mechanic of Krugersdorp phoned me after he apparently received and checked my vehicle and advised that the vehicle’s water pump and thermostat did not need to be replaced. We then discovered that they had delivered the wrong BMW to my mechanic in Krugersdorp, he then found a business card inside the vehicle and I phoned the owner, a Mr. X.
                BMW Midrand had clearly released the wrong vehicle and therefore Mr. X vehicle was taken without his knowledge and released off the BMW Midrand premises. A while later, BMW Midrand called me to inform me that the tow truck was on its way to them (BMW Midrand) to collect my vehicle and drop it with my mechanic.
                You can imagine my surprise when I told them that my mechanic has just called me to let me know that the water pump and thermostat did not need replacing on my “supposed” vehicle.
                A Mr. Paul Mhlanga phoned me to get my “undiluted” version of the story. I informed him that I had already spoken with the director at BMW Midrand, a Mr. Piet Van der Merwe.
                Mr. Van der Merwe asked me to please send an email authorising the release of my job card details (which they do not even give to the owner of the vehicle) to Mr. X so he could confirm that the work done on his vehicle was infact the correct work and not maintenance done on my vehicle.

                Mr. Mhlanga called me to inform me that Mr. Van der Merwe had sent me an email letting me know that my vehicle had been collected by the towing company and had been delivered to my mechanic.
                This was not the story….as I write….Im still waiting for the so called email!

                Eventually they (BMW Midrand) phoned me roundabout 4 o’clock Friday afternoon to inform me that my vehicle has been picked up by the towing company and that it is on its way to my mechanic. I contacted my mechanic to see if he indeed received my vehicle…. at this point he had not. Around 2 hours later my mechanic let me know that my vehicle was in his possession.
                Due to the unprofessional service received from BMW Midrand, no one seemed to know the whereabouts of my vehicle.

                Conclusion.
                BMW Midrand motor vehicle service and customer care (Gauteng, South Africa) is insufferable and unacceptable.
                I’m a single mother with two boys. Without any family and a motor vehicle we stayed without food for two days and where it also left me in a bad position so to have organized for a lift for my younger son to school and back. As I write this mail, I have been without my car for 5 days and now have a weekend to endure to look after my family.
                I would really appreciate it if this matter could be taken up so that other future customers like myself and Mr.X. don’t have the same and or similar experience as we did at BMW Midrand. All that I and Mr. X received from BMW Midrand is untruthfulness, disrespect and a high level o[censored]nprofessional service.
                Details of Mr. X are available to confirm the service that he received and also the story behind his vehicle that was released without his knowledge.

                    I have a bmw x1. While i was driving the car in the rain and it suddenly stopped. Then it was towed to the company service centre. As per the service centre there was a fault in the digital diesel electronic module (Dde) because of rain. They gave me an estimate of approx. 2.25 lacs. My car is fully insured and the insurance company is denying my claim. I expected a car from a company like bmw to handle rough wether with more agility. My concern is that i want the fault to be rectified at the earliest either paid by insurance company or bmw.

                      Being a big fan of bmw from young age i was able to fulfil my dream in the year 2014.

                      I (Unfortunately) purchased a test drive car-model 525d having a registration no. Ka 51 mf 3336 from your dealer navneet motors, bangalore india. Mr. Gurudutt representing the dealer convinced me that the car was in a good condition car.

                      My first problem started when this car came to full stop while travelling with a few family members about 200 kms away from bangalore on national highway. I had to tow my car then with no other option.

                      I was given the news that the turbo engine has failed. We purchased a bmw with an assumption that these are the best engines in the world and wondering how an engine could fail. My bigger disappointing was when they told us that our engine warranty had expired a month back as it was a test driven car and does not enjoy a long warranty.

                      After a long discussion we concluded to purchase a new model 520d and the dealer would buy back the old machine. I am not even sharing the non-availability of my car, financial loss and the mental agony of going through all of this. My problems did not end here.

                      I was shell shocked when my new car also broke down during the month of july (28th july 2016) on hosur flyover. The engine was heated up again.

                      After an ordeal we had our car back, then again during my drive back from home town last week the new car stopped for the same reason. Stranded with my family on the road with rain was so disappointed. I was going through hell with such poor break down/back up service that i sincerely hated my decision on going with your brand.

                      Wondering why a brand new car stopping twice and a failure to organize assistance on an emergency basis when all other indian brands do it so well. Most annoying is that i receive a standard mail from ankita grover without any commitment or showing any seriousness in handling this issue. A real shame to your brand.

                      Being an active member of crea (I) an association over 300 entrepreneurs who can afford such brans, i am choosing to share it in our common platform and ensure that others don’t suffer.

                      I am now lost. God save me. Hope this mail reaches you a soul who would understand and takes up this matter seriously.

                        One of your courier partner (Mr. Markuswhite) will come tomorrow to receive my courier that containing all those items.. I dont know whether the mail is real or fake... So kindly help me to resolve the problem regarding this issue...

                          I own 320d model april '14.It has done 23330 kms approx.Bought from navnit motors mumbai.
                          Post the second service the engine pickup has dropped three times.Twice i visited navnit motors service centre, they cleaned the engine filter and send me back .Again the car runs well for 400 to 500 kms and then again the pickup drops.Surprisingly in just 23000 kms the following problems have appeared.
                          1.Pickup dropped (twice had gone to the service centre)
                          2.Both the rear view mirrors make so und while opening.
                          3.The led stops functioning every now and then and gets started on its own after a while.
                          4.The right front suspension make sound when it crosses a small pot hole.


                          Need to resolve by problems on priority.

The car backside wheel is having manufacturing defect and the car is not running on that wheel after 2 months (5000 kms) approx. Of purchasing. Now i am using secondary wheel of emergency from 15 days and 4 days ago i have send my car to deutsche bmw faridabad and they are not changing that wheel.                             I own X1 for last 5 years. My car Spent lot of time in workshop. Never ever got delivery on time. Never ever offered replacement car. Many times sent to workshop for same problem more than once. Major fault missed despite of repeated requests, which could have lead to major accident. I feel I am punished for buying BMW.

                              1) we bought a new x5 in the first week of july 2015.
                              2) first service is generally due at around 10, 000 kms or so. We sent our car for service and tyre change, since we were facing tyre issues in december 2015 to navnith motors. They changed the tyre but did not service the vehicle as they were busy (As mentioned by their service head to us orally) and suggested that we bring it in for service when it’s 10, 000 kms as there were still about 300 to 400 kms short of service due. Despite our telling them that we were planning on a longish tour and would be best if it was serviced then, they refused and returned the car
                              3) the car was serviced subsequently, upon our return from the tour. That time they did not mention anything to us about the fact that it had run over 1500 kms over service due kms - as it was done at their behest
                              4) when the car was due for it’s 2nd service in june - we called them for an appointment on the 8th of june 2016. They did not have any dates immediately and gave us a date of 21st june. As we had foreign dignitaries visiting our facility, it was not convenient for us. So despite our request for another date, we were given a date on 1st july 2016.
                              5) on 7th july, 2016 i was traveling internationally and hence sent the car the day after i left india for service. This time they sent us an email saying that it’s done over 600 kms after due kms and hence the warranty is not valid anymore

                              Here's the message that we got from navnit:

                              "greetings from bmw navnit motors,

                              Your vehicle has been reported to dealership reg bearing kaxxxxxx, for the engine oil service. We have inspected the vehicle and noticed that the vehicle has been driven – 600 km which is not recommended by the bmw which may lead in mechanical failures (Wear and tear) of your vehicle.


                              Note : engine & subsequent damage will not be covered by bmw due to overdue of the service."

                              The points to note here are:

                              A) when they have no time to service our cars and send them back or don’t give us dates when we call and ask, obviously they have a problem. We invest and buy expensive cars like the x5 to use it and not to park it in our garage - just because it’s due for service and they are unable to find time to service it. So we are caught in a quandary when they don’t give us service dates on time
                              B) navnith motors have been promising to improve their service levels for over an year now. When we were to buy the x5, i did object to our previous experience and service levels of the earlier owned 320 d - which they promised that would improve due to the fact that they were opening a new service station in the northern part of bangalore very soon (As promised in july 2015). Based on this, we decided to go ahead with the acquisition of the x5
                              C) it was only last couple of weeks back that they inaugurated their new facility and hence have not been able to maintain the promised service levels
                              D) it’s been 22 days or more since the car has been dropped off for service and it’s yet to be returned. They have refused to resolve the issue and extend the normal warranty terms - despite the fact that we have brought all the above facts to their attention and also to bmw india. We continue to pay emi on this vehicle and do not have the services of the same. It’s a bad situation for us now as we are losing huge amounts of money
                              E) i was on a holiday in uk, when bmw - india called and spoke to me about the car. They were rude and appeared to have a pre-conceived notion about the whole issue and did not give me a fair listen in. It resulted in ruining my holiday and created unnecessary tensions for us.
                              F) despite several attempts to make navnit motors / bmw realize their mistakes and hence the need to withdraw their warranty cut, they have not returned the vehicle to us after servicing nor have they taken steps to resolve the issue on hand.

                                First of All, let me tell you that i have been patronising the brand BMW since 2010 ... Although the brand boasts of the luxury and its credentials, its dealers are not committed to the same...

                                The fact of the matter is as under:
                                My car broke down(tyre bursted 4th time in an year) on last Thursday morning(dt 21/07/16) at 10:03 am. I call up the "on road assistance" service and am promised to send the assistance asap, since i am the owner of the BMW Secure policy and i am waiting for the assistance on road in the heart of the city.(easily accessible area) for more than a hour. The road assistance comes up at around 11:30 am and they replace the tyre with service. This being the 4th incidence in the same car in less than an years time.

                                I asked the manager to keep the car for claim process and repairs, i am told that the schedule is tight and the earliest date of appointment is only Tuesday, however i enforced on fir-sat and finally agreed to put my vehicle on Monday.
                                Since i had to travel out of station, i decided to take a private cab and put my car for service. The car was picked up from my residence on Monday morning after a couple of followups and lame execuses of drivers being busy etc... Then i follow up for my car and am promised to get the same delivered the next day, and then i follow up continuously everyday only to know that my car has not been put under claim and they need some claim form etc, which was already delivered to them the very next day the car was picked up for service. This was the reply on the 5th day. And when i lost my patience and am back in town after travelling for 4 days and following up for car, i was promised to deliver the car yesterday afternoon i.e 29th July (8th day).

                                When i called up the executive he says the car is ready and i ask him the estimates for the repairs, he says he will call back in ten minutes and he never turns back. (As usual, he has been playing with me for past 6-7days similarly)
                                Then i call him up in late evening only to know that the drivers were busy and there is SCARCITY OF RESOURCES (both manpower and equipments) at the dealership, so we cannot deliver it today but we promise we will deliver ur vehicle tomorrow morning i.e 30th July'16.

                                Today morning(10th Day) before i start from my home i call up the service advisor to know the status he says i have just reached the office and will call u back in 5-10 mins. Again as per the habit, i didnot receive the phone call. As i had already conveyed the service manager and the service executive i have an urgent meeting to attend today and i need the car at any cost so i had to follow up again becoz it was my need not any on the part of the service team or dealer. Still being shameless i called up only to know that old story again, there is no driver and it would be great if you can pick up the car on your own sir. Fine... Great... I agreed and instructed the service manager about my urgency for the meeting as it was a make or break deal for my business worth 70 Crores of deal size. My reaching there on time was essential. Still i agreed to pick up the car since it was ONLY MY NEED... and i told the executive i have an emergency meeting and so you please keep the vehicle ready for delivery. i cannot afford to waste time, and tell me the estimates so that i can get the cheque for the same amount. I am told that you need to get the cheque as the claim is still under process but the car is ready.. and you can come sir, we will deliver your car in just a min... We will not waste your time.

                                Now to add fuel to the fire, when i reached the service station to collect the car, the executive is not picking up my phone, the manager is hunting for my car and then when located the car is brought to me for delivery, i find the car shabby from with not at all cleaned and the service tyre still flat...(punctured)... and I am told sir it will take just 2 mins.

                                I enquired about the claim and the new tyre to be replaced to which i am told the FACT THAT the tyre that was kept for CLAIM has been LOST by the dealer and that the staff is still hunting for it. Once we get the tyre we will put it for claim and then the surveyor will approve it and then we will collect the cheque from you... (This sheer nonsense i hear on the 10th day of my car being kept in service at the dearlership) Again the car was kept for service at the convenience of the dealership and not the customer. As they had promised not to take more than 48 hrs for the same.

                                And then when i yell their and scream on people, two guys start working on the vehicle one cleans the inside matting and the other is replacing the tyre (again with a service tyre that was originally given to me after the breakdown) And the workshop manager and the service manager are patiently looking at the entire scene.

                                In the anger and franatic mood, i leave the dealership without waiting anymore for the vehicle to get ready...

                                Ultimately i had to take a public transport from the showroom and get to the place of my meeting to which i could not reach on time and the client had left by the time i reached the meeting place and i lost the deal to someone else...

                                What did the dealership loose ??? nothing... I lost BUSINESS WORTH 70 Crores ...


                                And then i am called to say sorry and stuff like that to which i am not paying an ear...

                                My point here is if BMW India really cares for its customers, why does it give dealership to people who do not understand the value of the BRAND and its associated pride and necessity. Its importance in the life of the customer...

                                And what else can i expect from the dealership, the corrective action that a dealer would now take is, they will fire the executive (which i got to know if i raise this issue at your level)... My point is what can an executive do if there are no resources in the dearlership... What can i do if the dealer does not have the resources...

                                I lost business worth 70 Crores, can the dealer compensate me for the same...??

                                I am hoping to get a call from your side if my complaint is not falling to the deaf ears... and would like to know the solution to this from your side ...

                                      “BMW”- A name that carries global reputation in terms of quality, luxury and style. Well, not always the case. As someone who bought a 320d with lot of passion and dreams, it has been nothing short of a nightmare that I experienced, which I and my family will not be able to forget for a lifetime.

                                      16 th of September, 2015: It was a day that I looked forward to, a great friend’s daughter’s wedding. Little did I know that it would be a fateful day of my life. My 320 d car burst into flames while on the move on the Pondicherry highway en-route Chennai. My chauffeur, who was the only person in the car somehow managed to get out of the car, soon after which the car spontaneously burst into flames destroying certain important documents and other valuable stuff that lay within. Below are the pictures of the unfortunate incident. As you can see, the pictures speak for themselves. It was, no doubt, Almighty’s abundant grace that my Chauffeur’s life was saved. However, he has suffered an irreversible psychological harm and quit the job subsequently. Had something happened to him, I do not know how I will be able to carry the guilt all through my life. The mental trauma and agony that we all underwent after the incident is beyond comprehension. This is more so, because the car is the world’s most trusted brand, the very reason why I chose BMW over others. Now I feel really let down.

                                      I have had the car checked by the concerned officials and the conclusion is that the fire started inside the engine compartment and there was a problem in the car. I raised the issue with BMW India immediately. Although they responded to my complaint, their stand always has been that ‘the car performed as per series standard and there is no manufacturing defect in the car.’ Thereafter there were multiple discussions and negotiations exchanged with BMW which did not yield any satisfactory results. The thermal combustion happened for no fault of mine. I did everything that I was supposed to do when owning a luxury vehicle. I only let BMW’s KUN Exclusive Chennai to do the regular service and maintenance, as required.
                                      Therefore, either BMW or KUN-Chennai has to give me a reason for this mishap, as I still cannot believe a car can burst into flames for no rhyme or reason. And now that it has happened, I demand a fair compensation for the trauma I went through. I expected that a manufacturer like BMW will be upright in addressing its customers concerns, but to my utter disappointment they appear to be insensitive to my genuine claims and does not care about the disturbance of a customer.

                                      It has also come to my notice that what happened to my car is not a stand-alone case. There have been similar incidents where BMW cars has been involved in fire accidents and BMW has conveniently brushed off its responsibilities.

                                      Planning to spend your hard earned money on a BMW? Beware!!! The consequences might be irreversible!

                                      I call upon your views and opinions on BMW’s ‘not-concerned, not-responsible’ attitude. Aren’t my claims justified?
