BMW India — service related issue with bmw dealer and faulty part

Address:andheri, Mumbai City, Maharashtra, 400069

Dear sir/madam,

I would like to bring to your notice the inadequacy of service provided to me by bmw andheri west branch regarding my car. I am an owner of bmw x3 2019 march purchased from navnit motors, andheri west.

On 16th september, i noticed an issue with my car. I immediately called the service center and got the car inspected. They bluntly refused to accept my car despite arriving at the service station. The staff was making lame excuses which was extremely disappointing. They rescheduled to inspect my car on 3rd october after more than 3 weeks. I still gave them the benefit of doubt and accepted it.

On the 1st of october i personally called them upfront to confirm the appointment on the 3rd. However they had no recollection of me, my car or my situation. I thought that bmw india had some sort of information on their clients. But i guess i was thinking wrong. Bmw is only interested in selling and forgetting their clients. Nonetheless, i reminded them once again of the service issues that i was facing with my x3. They accepted the car finally on the 3rd.

Once the car was accepted by navnit motors, there was no response from them for more than 3 days. An absolute radio silence. I had no idea on the device status of my car. This made me wonder what kind of malicious shenanigans are they doing to my car. Eventually since it's my investment which was at stake, i picked the phone and called to get an update.

For the first few days while my car was with them they were absolutely unaware as to what was the problem with my car. I find it amazing how bmw is training and educating the service staff who has no clue what is wrong with the car let alone fix it. Eventually they mentioned on the 7th of october what was wrong with my car. However the estimate was emailed just few days back on october 11th about placing an order for the faulty part.

The service staff eventually updated after i called them asking how long will it take to get my car back. To my amazement the faulty part is apparently not available in the entire country. It will take a minimum of 5 weeks. They have completely refused to give me a replacement car for the entire duration. I even called bmw india direct, they also are in the blind about my situation. They were supposed to call me but radio silence is all i have got.

So now my wife, my child and i are roaming around in alternative modes of transport as well as public transport. This whole ordeal with bmw india and navnit motors has been disappointing to say the least. My family members and friends who own volvo's and mercedes have better experiences than bmw. Sorry to say but your service is disgraceful. The people running bmw india are inapt and do not deserve to even be a part of suzuki.

Do i even expect a reply for your end or should i just put my car on the market and buy your competition. Please let me know. I'll follow your guidance in this matter if there is any reply to this.

Yours truly,

Anoll merchaant
