I am a writer and I participated in the writing challenge, where you provide 20 poems and get a book published. There are a lot of other writers like me who have done the same with book leaf publishing. I have a copy of the agreement that states the authorization of the book and all the terms and conditions. However, not only was the printed copy up to the mark, when confronted they stopped responding. Also, all the copies that have been sold so far, I did not receive any royalty for it. The pricing of the book too was changed from the one that was promised. I have screenshots to support my claim, which I will attach too. I need them to Furthermore they are FRAUDS as I have not received any royalties as well.

I have paid a 1000 ruppee competition fee and an another 1000 for illustrations. Also, my friends have purchased copies prices 150 each. I need a compensation for all the harassment in the last couple I months and I need them to give up their right on my book.

Please help me in and the other writers in this matter.

Complaint marked as Resolved
Book leaf publishing is promising to resolve the issues I have raised. The steps are yet to be taken, but I am giving them an opportunity to do so.

The complaint stands true. Their promises are a farce. They published the book without any notification. It is not available on any platform other than amazon, while they listed a whole bunch of them. The promises about randomly distributing the books in metro stations is a false promise as well. Two other writers have approached me with the same grievances. They also don’t pay the royalties. BOOKLEAF IS A FRAUD PUBLISHING HOUSE, please don’t fall into their trap.

I have also participated in this challenge. Supposedly my book was published on August 13 2021, it is listed on two ebook websites and Turkish amazon. However none of them are available to order. And they never were. I've emailed them and was told there were server issues a while back. A week ago I emailed them again to inquire further and have not received any reply to that.

I had that same issue a month ago with US Amazon. I finally pestered them enough that the listing got put back up, but the covers for the book got skewed and misaligned, so that parts are cut off and unreadable. I am now trying to get them to take down the listing because they have not paid me my royalties either, and I haven't heard from them at all.
I too participated in the same competition and I'm not happy with their responses. My book hasn't been published yet, but their final draft in itself has a bunch of issues (mistakes from their end), which they aren't letting me correct. It's already been taking more than 2 months to publish and they've been continuously pushing the dates. The promises were to publish it in various platforms and e-stores. But now they say it'll only be on Amazon. If it weren't for the initial 2000 Rs I paid, I would have complained about them much earlier. I really want to revoke my publishing rights and get a refund.
Like every other new writer, I too participated in the 21 poems in 21 days challenge and it's been 2 months since the team has not gave any promising respond just the autobots and all. I've paid them 1600, as that was the admitting fees into the competition which they promised to publish the book and so on .And I too want to revoke my publishing rights and get a refund.
The same is my issue. I am facing a problem. This company is a fraud.
The publishing consultant hasn't responded properly in four months. The team has no accountability on issue resolution, they have not shared the sales report, and they have practically looted us of the royalties that they had mentioned in the agreement. Strict action should be taken collectively against the publishing house. They continue to run challenges and contests, and they continue to onboard new authors without attending to all the issues raised by existing authors. Shameful.
