[Resolved]  Leakage — Leakage in Apartment after Possession

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

Took possession in August 2013, on day of possession there was dampness on the wall in Bedrooms, Drawing/Dining area of the walls. Before handing over the keys they patched up and re-painted. But after a week it reappeared. Once again they said this time that the walls are wet due to humidity and flat is close for longer period of time. They did chemical treatment which took more than 15 to 20days. Now once again in September dampness started this time all over the apartment i.e. Master Bed walls, second bedroom, hall and kitchen walls. I verified this and my tenant said the leakage started after using main bathroom. When I spoke to the maintenance personnel he explained me that this is due to leakage in master bathroom, in where there were gaps and cracks between the tiles which caused the dampness, another excuse was that since sand is used all over this spread very fast. The leakage was spread to floor below (11th floor) as well exactly below my apartment.

Once again they did the repair work, but I am not confident of the work done, this might re-occur.
