At the time of covid the government has issued rule for not taking more than 2 seat in auto rikhshaw and therefore, auto driver has set there fair for Rs.20 per seat but till today i.e. on 28/03/2023, the auto driver is taking Rs.20 per seat and also they are taking over seat i.e. 4 seat and hence they are earning 80 rs at one ride and the distance from station to shirdi nagar is less then 2 km
And i have taken photographs of the auto driver who are taking over seat but the traffic police is not taking any initiative for same and poor people have no option but to take ride at high fare also risk as auto drivers are taking over seat.

This is about the rickshaw fares in naigaon, vasai, nalasopara, virar. The rickshaw union doesn't want rickshaws in these locations because they know the distance is mostly less. But the government doesn't realise that by doing so the rickshaw drivers are taking advantage of the situation. They charge rs 20 per person for distances not more than 1 to 2 kms and in some places the rates go up to 45rs per seat. Even after they don't use meter they charge night charges. Special rickshaw for 1 to 2 kms is 50rs to 70rs. Someone needs to do something about this. For a person who cannot afford their own vehicle. 1500 to 1800rs a month only for 1 way rickshaw fare. Means on average a person pays rs3500 to 4500rs months only for traveling in vasai alone. These rickshaw drivers need to earn their money but not by kicking someone else's stomach. I urge someone in please listen to us start meter system.

          Dear Sir,

Only hope that an action will be taken is something that is driving me to write to you because all o[censored]s know how many complaints have been answered at all!!!
Nobody cares if we pay extra to the auti guy because in Mumbai we live by the "chalta hai" attitude.
Anyway, to cut short the issue...I take an auto from Borivali west Veer Savarkar garden to Satellite tower in Goregaon East every morning to reach office. Everyday the meter fare is between 73 and 77 rupees. Today I paid 97!!!

If you think our hard earned money should not go waste, please look into this.
The auto number is MH02 TA 1874.

            Dear Sirs,

On Vadodara Airport, geting rickshow is big headache. When I go to Airport from my home Nizampura, I pay around 45 Rs (meter charge). but when I come back from airport to my home (on same route) I pay 200 Rs. (unbelievable naah). They have association overthere and force customer to pay what they decided. they use very rough lenguage with our guests. As a Barodian I feel very bad.

My reqest is for you please do needful.

            Regards,

            Swarup Raj
I have to agree with Swavup Raj, in that I have never seen a single working meter on a rickshaw in Vaḍodarā until today. This was the first driver who had a working meter AND a rate card. Today! I've been here for a total of 2.5 months! The people at the airport would start out charging 700 Rs, , then 600, and finally I got one down to 200.

Also, rickshaw drivers are like this ALL over the city, not just around the airport. I stay around Mānjalpur and have traveled to various places on the north side, like for the airport, for glasses, etc. I had one driver promise 150 Rs, and then as he was driving, he was saying something to me (I am deaf, divyaṅg). When I arrived at my destination on the other side of town, he asked for 300 Rs. I had to put him in his place.

"You said 150 Rs. back there, remember?"

            "No, 300."

"You said, 150! I would not have agreed to ride with you for 300!"

I gave him 150 Rs, and he looked disappointed. I then realized that the speech he was making on the way there was "300 Rs". I kept telling him "divyaá¹…g" and pointing to my hears and showed him my hearing aid. He wanted to change the price on me on the way down.

Vaḍodarā, you have to do something about these Rākṣasas in control of these auto-ricks. Bust them down for overcharging, having non-functional meters AND no rate cards! And they overcharge foreigners, Indian or not!

I want to see meters working and rate card displayed prominently, or we are moving to Uber. Let these Rākṣasas suffer for their unethical behaviors. This is supposed to be an island of dharma within Vaḍodarā. Live up to it our get out of the city, please.

I've read in mah times that 'meter' is compulsory in 'dombivli'. Still I've not seen any rikshaw using meter. From Panchayat Bavdi to Kasturi plaza ,dombivli they charge 12/- but for returning they charge 15/-.
Who will consider this complaint? Can you send this to respective authority?
              Regards.
