I wish to narrate a harrowing experience that I faced today while de boarding from my bus near Kempegowda Statue Majestic.
There are a number of rowdy type auto drivers waiting at the bus stand awaiting the early morning bus from out stations .
Some of them are very arrogant and constantly misbehaving with passengers alighting from
These buses if they do not agree to take their autos at exorbitant rates.br...

I had hired auto KA02AE7981 to drop my sons to center in Basaveshwaranagar, 8th main. I had to continue my ride to my school which was just half a kilometer. so, after dropping my sons I told auto driver not to off the meter so that I can continue my ride. but he had turned off the meter and not even noted the readings. when I continued my ride I noticed meter off. I asked him why meter was off. then he stopped auto and started shouting in foul language in public for no reason which brought tears in my eyes. he would have refused to continue and I would have paid him but instead why he had shout in public. I had to get down and pay some ransom amount he shouted to avoid further insult. how a working will be feeling to start a day with these bad incidents.

If you are new in karnataka they will treath you in there scam like if you book your auto they tell you price that cheaper and affordable then you are happy that it's good but when you ride will start they will leave you at your location by long route because you don't know the area then they will ask you for double money they are seriously ### in every state in India you will go they will give you respect but in karnataka if you didn't know kannada they will scam you so be aware

Most of the Auto rickshaws do not turn their meter on and ask for irrelevant fair.
From Wilson garden to chickpet, its 3 to 4 km which according to meter should be nearly 50 -60Rs but all the autos standing there asking for 150 - 200Rs and no one ready to turn on the meter.When I asked to turn on meter they said madam..go by foot.. Please take strict actions regarding this issue...most of the autorickshaws don't turn on their meters ..even for 1- 2 kms they ask for 100 Rs..and they are not ready to go with meters turned on. And this is not one incident...this makes a very bad repo of the city transportation...This is a serious issue..thanks

Took an auto from nagasandra metro station to my flat hardly 1.2km. It should be minimum but he said pay me 70 as it was raining and had my daughter with me I agreed to pay and when I got down I gave him 200rs he gave me 100 back and told that’s all I will give . Shouted and told I will not give.

While sitting one charge and when getting down one charge and that too shouted on me.

For minimum fair I paid 100rs.

It happened on 13 sept. 2022 on the service road near Kudlu gate Bangalore. On the service road, this auto driver (KA05 AD 0411) make a third lane and stopped the traffic coming from the opposite side. When I asked him not to do so he started misbehaving and jumped on me with some abusive words. I request Bangalore traffic pole to take some strict action against them or at least educate them on basic traffic rules.

We booked an auto from Mathikere to Tulsi thota generally would cost 150 max . But the meter showed 200rs . But the driver took 250 rs telling his meter is old, i e the minimum fare was 25 in his auto. Kindly take some action against this. The auto no. KA03 AA 9571

Actually I'm from A.P and yesterday I came to Bangalore 1st time. Then I directly entered into general auto rickshaw (in Marathahalli area) and after dropping for around 9km he said 650 rupees then I was shocked about that much price at the end he take 500 forcefully that too by bargaining. So sad that I'm forgetting to take auto number details. Can I find him by face i.e, any online services like that in particular areas.

An auto rikshaw driver charged 50 bucks extra from my 13 year old son even after charges were fixed.

A auto Driver came and said where you want to go i said i want to go to majestic he said ok the fare is 200 i told her that I will give you only 150, he said ok i sat in his taxi after half a kilometres he stopped a auto driver and said go to this one he will drop you so i sat in it There was another passenger with me, the driver started dropping him somewhere else and started asking for more fares. So I also asked that you will drop me till Majestic Bus Stand. He said no i dropped you in shivaji bus stand he dropped me there and took 150 from me

Hello Sir/Maam,

We had faced a very bad incident today(me & my husband)while coming back from Phoenix marketcity mall to Bellandur(Green Glen layout) the auto driver KA-03-AA-7873 said that he will charge 350 to drop us to bellandur, once we reached he gave 100 while he was supposed to give back 150 when i gave him 500, he started arguing stating he won’t give back and he used slang language, while he was doing so we realized he was drunk completely which he or anyone is not supposed to do while driving. One very important thing noticed that noone came for help while we were in trouble solving this issue instead other auto drivers crossing also started supporting him. We are not residents of Bangalore but we stay here for our work purpose but very ashamed to see these kind of incidents happening with citizens where there is no protection to individuals coming via public vehicles, infact these incidents makes us feel that we are not valued and there is no respect.

Request you to take some serious action about this auto driver and revoke his license, these kind of people are threat to each and every citizen who may not realize the consequences.

Today i got a auto from shanthi nagar bus stop to kudlu gate its total of 11kms and the auto driver said give me as per the meter fare.
I asked him no extra and he said just meter fare
And while travelling i saw his meter is just jumping every 20 meters and in a km it was going more than 30 rs
And i informed him and he turned the meter and set it to 0 again same problem occured. I said u stop the...

Every auto in Bangalore Indiranagar metro station refusing to put meter and asking price very high. this is really bad.

I'm a student doing my pg course I travel to my college by metro as the distance between metro and my place is high I usually catch an auto to travel to the destination. The actual cost or the meter cost from gorguntepalya metro station to my place in an auto is Rs 26 which I'm ready to pay till Rs 30 but every auto rickshaws near gorguntepalya metro station charge auto fair around Rs 50-60 saying they have to go alone back to station which I'm not responsible for over that they would scold me for asking to drop next to my place or would leave me a road behind my place which is not fair. I don't come under earning women catagory and my father is the sole earner to my family of four. Every money given is very important to me and them charging extra is not fair please help as soon as possible.

The meter showed Rs. 141 from Sadashiv nahar police station to 4th Main road, Malleshwaram.
Started fighting that he had already mentioned double the fare shown in meter as payment which he definitely did not.

This autorikshaw driver - KA01AC7822 charged excessively than the promised rate. He promised to ride for 300 rs but after reaching the destination, we paid him 500Rs and he wouldn't return the balance. He charged 200rs extra not willing to pay the balance. He was very impolite too. This incident happened today, 11th of April, 2021 at around 8:45am whole travelling from ShantiNagar to Hennur.

Hi sir had taken an auto from malleswaram to vidyaranyapura at 900pm and the meter was 185 and driver had asked 20 over meter and give him 500 note in the dark and he say sir this is 20 rs note u have given me and confused me, gave him 500again and the total was 720 for the rash rideing and has totally fooled me, then realized what has happened, have only seen his face, do not rember his name or no in the dark, is it possible to find out the guy?

I need to put complaint on one auto driver (Who overcharged me for 1.5 kms and harrased and abused me)... That auto number is ka02ad3491... Firstly i am veeragowtham from coimbatore... I started to walk from anandrao circle to majestic, but that auto driver convinced me to go via auto using auto meter... I accepted, after that he went via long route through visweshwaraya clg... I understand he is fraud then, i stopped the auto there itself, then the auto meter is showing 110rs for 1.2kms, he demands 220rs as a double charge at early morning 6 am.. But i denied to give that 200rs amount.. So i noted auto number to complaint, then he comes to slap me... Then he compelled me to give 150rs... So i feared and gaved him... He uses abusive words to me... So please take action on him... Please cancel their license sir... Because of these auto drivers only bad name coming for good auto drivers also sir...in that auto license, name was narasimha moorthy... Please take severe action on him sir... Because he is not using auto meter... He is using some other meter which shows more amount for less distance also sir... Auto driver over charged and cheated with wrong meter reading. He showed 28 kms and rs 366 from kr puram rlwy station to rammurthynagar tc palya road. My wife not familiar with local language. He took advantage of it and cheated. I argued with him how could be 28 kms from kr puram rlwy station to rammurthynagar. But we ended up paying 300 for 5 kms. Please take action against this auto driver.

This complaint is detailed and is against the Auto driver and his auto with registration number ""AD KA 05-4176"". I could not get his name as there was no driving licence plate behind the driver seat or anywhere else and he was not telling his name. I don't know whether to start from the rudeness and threat of the auto driver or from his auto with faulty meter. I travel mostly everyday in auto to work so I know how much the meter should be showing at a particular distance. Today (28 Oct'16 around 10.05 a.m.) I, along with a lady friend, took this auto to go to work which is around 5km away. The auto driver was already asking for additional Rs.20 apart from meter claiming there is price increase in Auto LPG. Since there was no other auto nearby, we negotiated and he agreed to go in meter. I got the auto from "1/2, Bannerghatta Main Road, Ayappa Garden, Adugodi, Bengaluru, Karnataka" going towards "Gopalan Mall, No 22, Sarakki Industrial Layout, Bannerghatta Main Road, 3rd Phase, JP Nagar". After going some distance I found out his meter was way overcharging. I stopped the auto at this point "21/1, Bannerghatta Main Road, Pukhraj Layout, Adugodi, Bengaluru, Karnataka". He told that if I take the picture and make any complaint he will "change the shape of my face". I consider this very offensive and not appropriate behavior. Not only this, he was also referring to my lady friend and telling in local language "kannada" that he will physically harrass her (can't remember exact words but something like "awulu kaitini". excuse me if spelling mistake.) This is a different level. The situation got heated up and my friend was getting scared and told to leave it as we were getting late for office as well and did not want to waste time with the mentally retarted driver. So we took another auto and went. After reaching I went to the traffic police station in JP Nagar 3rd Phase and explained the situation. They seemed to hear me out properly and then told me to go to Mico Layout Police station and file a written complaint. I was already late for work so I did not go to the police station yet. And here I am seeking for assistance from the concerned authority to take some action. Such kind of driver should be severely teken care of and not even let to be a driver. Dear Sir/Madam, this is Animesh Mahata. I today I have taken an auto (KA51A7888) from HDFC bank Old Airport Road Branch. The auto driver forcefully taken Rs 1000 from me and left me in a deserted place in old airport road. No driving license was displayed in the auto. Also the driver was drunk. The driver was white skinned unsaved with short hair. Need assistance on priority. I have included details below. So please let me know how i should proceed. I hired this auto for the above mentioned trip. I got into the auto after winning the usual “interview” by the auto driver. I noticed that the driver is not running the meter. I pointed out this, and then he said the rate is Rs.30. I replied I cannot give that because it is only 1.3km ride. I asked him to stop. But he didn’t stop and told that he will take only Rs.25.

But after passing the hotel New Shanthi Sagar @ Domlur (Near the Domlur Bus stand), the driver asked me to get down. I told this is not the place where I want to go. He proceeded for another 200 meters and told me that this is the maximum he can come. But I didn’t get down. I asked him to drop me the place where I want to go in Domlur Layout. He proceeded another 100meters. He stopped the auto and forced me to get down. This time I failed and I had to get down before reaching my destination.

I paid him Rs.26 (for hardly 1 Km distance). After getting down I took the photo of his number plate. Unfortunately, the driver saw that and he came to me and threatened to delete the photo. I was helpless that time and had to delete the picture. But I captured the number in my mind.

I also noticed that the driver has not kept any license details in his auto. So I don’t know his name and driving license number. It’s a new green auto. Reg No: is KA-01 AA 8580

I request the authorities to keep an eye on these kinds of auto drivers since they are threats to the passengers and in turn to the society.

on 15th Aug we went from MS Nagar to ISKON for Rs 152. At the time of returning it was Rs 214+30 Auto No was KA 02 5231 or 5123. Another no. at the 2nd line was 2295...the companion auto did not start the meter and charged the same for other two members of the group by 8-45 am. the front side registration no was in local language. -- a r sit [protected]

Dear Sir / Madam, As per my telecon with Madivala Traffic Police Station, kindly find my complaint below: Auto vehicle No. Ka 51 A7888 . Auto person took Rs.1000 ( 2 notes of Rs. 500 ) by force and left me at HSR Layout 6th sector near behind Muniappa complex. He had picked me from near to HDFC Bank on 4th sector HSR Layout, as I work there. He was supposed to drop me till my house in Hulimavu. His DL was not displayed in the auto. The person was of whitish complexion with less hair and was speaking in Hindi with me. He might have been a Muslim person by religion but I'm not sure. Need assistance on priority. Todax while coming back from office(Dell Domlur) none of the auto's were ready to come to my place(Ejipura) at 8pm. Most of the days I come by walk. Today finally one guy agreed for Rs 40(usually when I come by meter it is 30). I came with him and he disagreed to leave me near my point saying I won't go inside Ejipura, you can give me the money and go from here on further. I was surpised to see this behaviour. I said if this was the case I wouldn't have boarded his auto that too paying extra money...he replied stating it is his auto and that's what he'll do. I said it is public service auto and he is supposed serve public and if he cannot change the color and make it private. Because of people like him other passengers who are come from outside Karnataka give bad comments about Karnataka. I noted the number and informed him that I'll be complaining about this. After this he abusive words and threatened me that he'll take care of me at same place where I boarded the auto. Daily I have issues getting auto my place to office...sometimes around 10-12 auto's deny to go this nearby place and I get the auto from main road. It is commonly noticed that auto drivers will shamelessly ask 1.5 meter or even double meter during daytime stating that they have to return empty no matter which destination you go.
Following are the details of the issue I reported above:

4.When informed that I'll complaint auto driver threatened me stating u come there again I'll take care of you. Was abusive.

I hired the auto from Frazer Town to inner ring road near Dell , he asked 10 Ruppes extra and upon reaching I noticed that the Meter was showing a figure of 70 Rupees, where as I am a daily user of auto service and usually the meter fare is 55- 57 Rupees.

The driver charged me 100 Rupees 70 Meter reading revised w.e. f 90 and 10 extra become 100

from 1st aug i have been paying 70 as per the new rates 56 meter reading and difference of old and new meter 14 Rupees become 70 but today this person charged me Rupees 100

My complain is to check his mter which is electronic but faulty showing a 30 % extra over the normal meter reading and he has asked 10 Rupees extra
