Dear Sir,
I am a resident of Nerul, Navi Mumbai. I wish to bring to your notice the growing number of stray dogs in the city. THe city is unsafe for pedestrians to venture out in the nights or the wee hours of mornings. There have been growing incidents of dog bites in the place where I stay. What needs to be noted here is number of dogs seem to be more than the number of inhabitants in the city.

I request you to please send your authorities to catch the dogs and free us from the menace. The citizens of Nerul, New Bombay would be very grateful to you in this regard.

I would like to add here that many countries like Korea, China consume dog meet. I find no harm in exporting dogs and earning some foreign exchange,

As far as being cruel to dogs is concerned, I don't feel the non-vegetarians have spared any animal.

I have never heard anything more horrible and cruel and terrible thing than this. You must be areal cruel person to think of such things. To earn foreign exchange at the cost of those poor dumb creatures is something so terrible. Do you even know what international trade or foreign trade is? I think you have a very poor general knowledge.

Dogs do not attack humans unless they are attacked. I am sure you have pelted stones at those poor dumb creatures and you deserve to be bit if you have done so. Also, I do not believe it when you say dogs are more than people in Nerul, somebody should do a demographic study. You can be proved wrong even without one.
Are you aware of castration of dogs? This is found to be the best way to control dog population. I am sure with the way you speak, you have no General Knowledge and no sensitivity.

This only shows a cruel bent of mind...

Why don't we start with stopping use of leather, preventing cruelty to all animals - pigs, cows, fishes and hens are as dumb as dogs...very easy to post a comment and call some one cruel and decide on some body's general knowledge by sitting inside 4 walls.

Please get up and do something for the dogs rather than posting comments

People who suffer from rabbis and its trauma only can understand what dog menace is. It is suggested to the animal lovers to go to a hospital where rabbis victims come. Whether human beings life is important or a dogs life? Meet the mothers in the town whose infants are killed by stray dogs. You will change the attitude of being a person of lofty ideals by preferring dogs lives over human lives.

I would like to bring to your kind attention that in our locality street dogs are barking especially in the nights which disturbs peaceful environments. This is very serious matter, who is studying in the nights and is anybody sick or whatever. I request the MCD authorities to check and prevent the Dog menance in the nights also some people are keep the dog in front of the Gate of their house even road side and the dogs are barking in the night also. So please check with the Dog catching squad and prevent the nuisance in this area.

A couple of days ago, a four-year-old schoolboy was attacked and killed by stray dog in Secunderbad, and today Attacked another School boy. while walking on the road . possibly because he was moveing from the lane. Dog Coming out from the house and catch the people on the Road . The only outcome seems to be a resolution to catch and sterilise stray dogs. I hope the GHMC Greater Hyderabad Muncipal Corporatation will treat the problem seriously and take action like the Karnataka Government.

No doubt, the death of two children by dog bites is shocking and tragic. But dogs can be eliminated in a humane manner. We should not go to the other extreme and kill street dogs indiscriminately, in some kind of knee-jerk reaction. The law may permit the authorities to kill ferocious dogs on complaint but it should not be used to eliminate the gentle and harmless ones. The authorities in Bangalore are reacting to the situation in an unreasonable, cruel, and shameful manner. They must concentrate on clearing these Dogs.

In my area there are so many street dogs which unnecessarily interpt into the peoples business..the main problem is they
bite without any reason.i think they got mad or else got out raged
ex. for one day there are any average of 6 cases of these kind of bitting public.

I am a resident of Madhurapuri colony, road #2 Dilsuknagar Hyderabad. Our kids are scared to go out on street because of dangerous street dogs. I would request the authorities to please take appropriate action by catching them immediately ASAP. I found one of the dog very aggressive. Please take the complaint seriously and send the dog catching squad to our colony as soon as possible.

I am staying at Malakpet, Hyderabad. My house address is 16-2-146/26/6, Dayanand Nagar, Malakpet, Hyderabad-5--036 (land mark Opp. Brahmakumari Samajam, Akbarbagh, Hyderabad). For the past five days 8 to 10 stray dogs are jumping over the compound wall of our house and going to upstairs and creating menace and we are even scraed to come out of the house and to leave small kinds outside the house. I request you to kindly take immediate action to take them away by sending squad.

if anyone has so much love for stray dogs i can contribute to their love by donating 3 dogs in my lane to him/her...

Stray dogs are a menace and they do not have a place in the human habitat.. I'm all for animal rights but only in the jungles/woods/reserves not in the cities, where i have seen stray dogs causign accidents, killing children.

I dont care if the stray dog is harmless or not.. Give me a gun and I will kill it with no second thoughts whatsoever. call me cruel i[censored] want to...

Note that this attitude of mine is only for stray dogs. Make a clear distinction between Stary dogs and pets..

For pet owners... make ur dog do its nature calls in ur homes itself. I have seen ppl saying the dog is a part of the family etc etc etc... SO let ur lovely family member do his nature calls at his home.. not on the streets..

Keep the city clean atleast in one way.. humans are making it dirty enough... :)

Hi, I am an employee working in the BPO and my shift timings is in the night, I usually get cab but the day I do not board my cab if I opt for self transportation my life would be horrible, when I cross my lane in front of those street(stary) dogs which are eagerly waiting for a person to come towards them so that they can attack. I don't understand why the dogs turn anger(beast) in the night time when they behave very normal in the day time. It is really insecure for the people in the colony to step out of there residence after 8 pm. I wanted to share a real scenario where in I opted for self transportation, started my bike near my residence and started riding the bike in 1st or 2nd gear 3 dogs literally waiting for the chance barking very loudly and trying to jump towards me, one from left the other from right 3rd from the front I was seriously scared and fortunately I was saved, this type of horrifying scene never happened in my life before.
Past 2 months we are facing this problem, even before i use to go to the office on my bike but never faced any problem but from this past 2 months our life is really horrible. I even tried to register a complain in the GHMC about it but all in vain, they gave this no [protected] which is a useless no because no one would respond on this no. Don't know what to do if any one has the Dog's Squad no please get back to me on my no [protected] and they can get nice goody or gift from me.
