Complaint against taxi driver
Hello,
I would like to make a complain against a taxi driver of taxi WBO405256. We took a taxi from esplanade to Kidderpore and we agreed that we will ride at 140 rupees, however when we were dropped in the middle of our location we were asked 150 rupees. We were told by the driver that we won't be going to our location as that will require more money and that he has no time but after a quarrel of 10 mins he finally dropped us and when he left us they used very abusive and inappropriate language which cannot be written here. So I would request Kolkata police or Government to take stern action towards this taxi driver.

Long route taxi service
Taxi no WB 04, E 9526, H L. 1073. Taking taxi near Central Avenue to Bangur Avenue. He started journey towards Maa fly over bridge then I told him why he take long route instead of taking centre Avenue route. Then he told me there is traffic and continue his journey towards Maa fly over. After that told me why you are not told me before started journey that you have to go from this route.Please take necessary steps to avoid such long route .

Mobile Stolen
We boarded the taxi from Golpark more and destination was Jai Hind Dhaba.
My phone got slipped from my back pocket inside the taxi and after just 5 minutes of leaving the taxi, I tried calling for 1.5 hours, and it rang, then got switched off.
Still it is coming switched off, and In a hurry, I forgot to take down the cab's plate number.
If anyone is honest, the phone should have been returned to any police station.

The driver was very very ill mannered. And even after showing rs.500 in the meter he asked for 150 rupees extra which was given to him. We 3 office going passengers were travelling from behala pathakpara to newtown.

I would like to raise a complaint to the consumer forum and west bengal government for the disaster service of taxi in Kolkata. we the people are so much fool that we are looking for taxi in the city. I have lots of irritating experience of taxi service but I felt ridiculous on last friday so I decided to lodge the complaint. Whenever we hire taxi to go somewhere, always they demand extra charge over meter to go otherwise they will not given the service. Last friday when I came from esplanade to bhawanipur harish mukherjee road I tried to take a taxi but I was surprised that no one is ready to give the service or else who are ready to go they are charging Rs200 or Rs250 where as the meter fare is hardly 50 rupees. There is written each and every taxi " no refusal". Where we are living? I think its better to ban the taxi service is fine rather than to give the nuisence service.

Bag was containing many original documents like land deed, land related papers, cheque books, rs. 25000/-, pan card driving license. I took the taxi from parnasree pally at 8.30 am and got doun at kamal gazi taxi stand at about 9.45 am. I stay at parnasree pally, behala. My mobile no. Is [protected]. Please return my bag. Who will return my bag i will give him rs. 25000/-. Excess fare

Usually from haldiram's, airport to Minto park the taxi fare comes up to 185-190 rupees.
On 20/4/2014, I boarded taxi number WB 04 F 1061 and the fare showed 264 rupees!
I told that the meter is rigged and that I am a regular traveller on that route and that I will
Complaint against him.. He said fine go ahead..
I was getting late for my tuition so I just have him 200 rupees and left!
He was not able to loot me but someone who doesn't know the routes would surely get looted!
Just wanted to bring it to your notice!

Myself Rubi. I have complain against over rate from topsia bus stand to belgachia veternity hospital with my pet (small cat) the driver has charged us 190 rs.

Kolkata taxi meter tampered

I travelled by Taxi number WB04E 8750 on 22-Aug from Science City to Sec V and the day being a holiday there was hardly any traffic. The distance being around 7 Kms, the usual fare is around 70 bucks. But this taxi having a totally faulty meter (with taxi driver manipulating a wire near the steering wheel), registered a fre of 130 bucks with a distance reading as 12.8 Kms which is totally crap. I ran from pillar to post seeking police help but it being a holiday there were hardly any in the region I got down. Later I registered a complaint with Kolkata Police against this taxi and to get his meter checked, however I was told that it was not possible after a gap of 2 hours. I request all Kolkatans to be aware of this fraud taxi owner/driver and take him straight to a Police station rightaway (as was ifnormed by local PS) and get his meter checked. The total fine payable by taxi owner is Rs 500 of which govt get 250 bucks while the rest is distributed to the victim.

Tampered Taxi Meter — Taxi meter
I boarded a taxi (WB04 B7114) to come to my office in sector 5 saltlake from Avisikta Kalikapur at around 9 in the morning. I am a regular to this and the taxi fare usually comes to around 100/- ~ 110/- But the taxi today was unusually surprising. He charged me 160/- which I knew was much more. When I asked him what was the total kilometers travelled, he couldnot answer as the total kilometer was never displayed in the meter. Also I noticed that the meter reading started from 100 meters instead of 200meters at times. Whenever the meter started from 200, it skiped 5ms for every 10 m travelled.Please look into it.

Taxi meter tampering — Taxi meter tampering
I have board a taxi from city center2 till bsnl office near karunamoyee and took the same route to and fro. While going to the same I was charged Rs 140 and for the same route while returning I was chrged 260 and when i complained the taxi driver spoke rudely and also refused to give any printed form of slip for the same. I was very annoyed and hence registering the same here. Please take strict action as this is becoming a common practise here in kolkata.The Taxi registration number is : WB04D 9339
I lost my Umbrella on 24 July, 2017 when I travel from PTS to SALT Sector V(Godtrej Water Side). The Umbrella in Red in Collor.

Refused By Taxi in Kolkata

I hereby lodge a complaint against the taxidriver bearing registration number as WB04-E0024 for the following reasons:
On July 13 2011 I had to take a taxi from Ballyghat stoppage to go to Behala. There were more than 6 taxis at the stand, none of them agreed to take me to Behala via Dunlop. I had some work in central Avenue hence it was mandatory for me to take the route. All the taxis present there only wanted to go via the Bombay road.
Finally one cabdriver (regnr: WB04-E0024) agreed to take me but halfway through the Bally bridge he not only asked me to get down from the taxi but also misbehaved by trying to hit me.
I appeal to the concerned authorities to take immediate action against such misbehavior and disallow the permit for those taxidrivers who refuse to cater to the needs to the common man.

i have travelled in yellow cab number WB04E-0028 from kankurgachi to barasat which is a distance of 25 kilometers maximum whereas the net meter charging was Rs 384 (Rs191 in meter). this is an overcharging of at least 35-40%. date of travel is 30.5.2011.

Kolkata taxi meter tampered with

Myself and the children today travelled by taxi no.WB 04A 3040 from Rowdon street to Behala chowrasta and we paid more than the amount we should pay after getting down half a KM from the destination. I challeged him from new Alipore and he started behaving badly to us and he even asked us if we travelled by cab everyday. Suddenly I saw the distance reading down to 0 from the current value.It convinced me more! I had the same experience while travelling from salt lake area on some occasion. The taxi meter are mostly tampered with when we travel in and around Kolkata and get cheated all the time.

Taxi Fraud — Tampered Meter
My brother today came in a taxi ( WB-B-3063) from Calcutta Science City to Sinthee More, which he had to pay the fare of Rs.950, but the meter of the taxi was in working condition. How is it possible? Please take necessary action. Anyone knows where to complain officially about the meter tampering?

abusive language

I boarded taxi no.WB-04 E / 5495 from my home to my office. Immediately after that the taxi driver took the taxi to a gas station for refuelling. I objected to this and wanted to leave the taxi but he said it will only take two minutes so I decided to wait. The taxi metre was running and it took 8 mins. for refuelling. At the drop point I gave him rs.4 less than the metre fare because it was extra due to his refuelling. At this the driver started abusing and shouting at me and when I warned him o[censored]sing such language he just fled away. Such behaviour is simply not accepted in a civil society. Can any action be taken against him?
