pickles was contaminated found insects my kid was suffer from loose motion to consume this double horse brand ...complaint to branch manager he was so irresponsible to customer talking very bADLY ABUSING US AND NOT RETURN THE PRODUCT PLEASE TAKE ACTION otherwise i will complain to food safty department

      I purchased things for 623/- on 11/06/2022. It was a card payment. Cashier girl said money is not credited in their account so will do the payment again. I checked my account its debited. I showed the statement. But they didn't accept & not allowed to take the purchased things. Manager spoke with us & requested to pay again. Once revert the money we will pay the money through gpay. I paid the cash of 623/- again. Still we are speaking them for extra money. They didn't response with us.

          I want to purchase some groceries in nilgiris supermarket. But owner of nilgiris besant nagar kicked me out because of swiggy tshirt. I'm so ugly right there so I'm going to file a defamation suit. Im taking some photos of that owner qnd im include with ths complaint
          Same issue faced my be i am a dunzo delivery partner. They denied to bill for dunzo

            The store says it's open however there is no staff available to attend or do billing .
            Most of the products are not available when ever I go. What is the point of taking membership .
            I only took pain to search and register this complain because of series of worst experience everytime I visit golden enclave nilagiri store. .

            Membership is also wasted, I have just waste my money . I am putting this on social media platforms as well

              The place is really not maintained well and they also do not clean the place often. Usually the products are almost nearing expiry, they sell only such products. When we ask them any product we want, they never have it. Most of the products they sell are of nilgiris brand, especially diary products we can't find any other brand also. If it is such a big franchise, they should be able to provide good stuff.

                I have been buying milk from nilgiris store in indranagar for 2 month. Since past 3 weeks everytime i bought milk to only find out later that it’s spoilt. Everytime i take it back to them they apologise and say that the refrigerator was broken and that it’s been fixed now. It’s funny how they hand me a spoilt replacement packet everytime and i am back returning and the same story over and over again. How can you even continue selling spoilt milk. If your cooling system’s off don’t sell milk. Pathetic store!

                  Niligiris store at Thoraipakkam is not accepting cards for purchases below 200 rupees. Everyday I have to stop at Niligiris to quickly pick one or two products for urgent needs. Our country is moving towards digital India, this store is forcing us to use cash. This is huge inconvenience for customer. I wounder if they are paying tax for cash transactions.

                    Hi, today we have purchased some groceries from one of your Nilgiris store in banglore, this is not the 1st tym we are purchasing but this is the 1st time that we have checked your computerised bill, after checking this bill we came to know that there are some mistakes in the bill, like MRP rs.11/- masala Maggi noodles priced in the bill as MRP rs.11.64/- and kilo Mango Banginpally mentioned in your store as 59.90/- and in the bill it is priced as 64/-, you people are literally looting our hard core money...I want to complain this to the next level, I have all the proofs.

                      I got a supposedly fresh pizza base packet from the nilgiris store close to me. It had minimum 10 live moving worms inside.
                      I am horrified to see this and wondering about the quality of product sold to us.
                      I had sent a mail with pictures and they haven't even reverted.

                      Not only pizza base but their mozerrela cheese has blue n green fungus on it but i couldn't click as i was running late to work and just threw it in the dustbin.

                        The person sitting on the billing counter is so rude, he treats customers as his servants. He does not have common sense to talk to customers. I opened refrigerator door to pick cold drink, and he rudely shouts at me from the counter to close the refrigerator door and not to repeat this again. He kept on shouting at me and started to quarrel. I don't think people like this are worth running such business. Better close this supermarket, i am sure it is not going to work out with such people, or remove such people from the supermarket. After this incident i would never visit that place again. Better to get these people trained on how to talk first before letting them sitting on the billing counters.

                            Hi, 25 Dec 2016 around 11.45 I have picked and billed kimia dates 500mg, but in bill it was another product.i have experience of buying kimia dates @ 200 in other market. I have also asked the same to get clarification.franchise branch manager was too rude and irresponsibly answer my questions.he is just abusing other sells that not paying tax etc.. I have paid by debit card rs 300 (dates 250+ mushrooms 50).he not ready to take return the bill. And product a manual bill with no tax split.they have no proper accounting in inventory local franchise spoiled the name of nilgiris . I never this brand to my friends and peers. Attached the snap on manual bill.a and again billed mushrooms in system. How do they filing returns poor responsible

                              Yesterday [07 Dec 2016] late evening I went to Nilgiris at MCity, Chennai.

                              I purchased approximately for 300 rupees and had given Rs.2000 note and got a lethargic answer that no change.

                              I told them that I didn't have change as well. He replied that he was informed by his superior that the change would be provided for Rs.2000 note only if the customer buys more than Rs.800.

                              I told them, if so this should be noticed to the customers before and so we would not to spend our time here and we might have look for another shop.

                              The bill boy was not happy and he called some lady looking like a manager for that store and told her that the situation.

                              The lady simply replied that she couldn't do anything and if the bill amount was at least Rs.1500 she would have given the change.

                              They in-directly meant me to give change or leave the shop. I was totally not happy with their behaviors and decided to leave the shop.

                              But the no Nilgiris employee felt for the customer's in-sanctification which made me decided that not to come back there.

                              Additional note:

                              A customer who stood in front of me also faced poor customer service and not happy as his amount was debited twice but the response of the employees was not satisfied.

                                I returned one unit of Rs. 255 value and I was asked to take product for the same amount. A reputed company of such repute does not have in their POS "point of selling" billing system a return billing facility. I wounded how they maintain inventory plus how accounting is maintained.
                                Shrinkage management is the biggest challenge in FMCG. Especially in organized retail format. Since we have given consulting for over 36 years in this industry we sincerely wish to help this very core requirement of this industry.
                                In this so called organized retail format there is a big requirement on shrinkage management.
                                Though stated as vegetarian dish it had non veg components inside the package. Flattened rice of Nilgiris brand having manufacturing date as 07-06-17 and expiry date 6months had small living insects as soon as opened. This was very shocking and least expected from such a well renounced brand.

                                  Insects found in my channa:
                                  Beetles called callosobruchus that lay eggs on the seed coat and then hatch and then bore its way into the channa to eat up all the nutrients to fully mature were found not a few but in the whole packet of channa. all of then had number of holes in them and many insects in them and couldn't be eaten after that. never buying channa from nilgiris again. its a waste of food and money

                                    Today after a heavy spicy meal thought of having dessert and just went to my nearest retailer(Nilgiris-Ayanavaram) and got one Magnum Almond for 90 rp. Came back home and opened the cover and what i saw was totally disappointing(see the pics attache). Just throwed the ice cream into the dust bin. The quality of the freezers are very bad.

                                      Complaint against nilgiris departmental store koramnagala 8th block :

                                      I had purchased a wipro smartlite twister cfl 20W from nilgiris on 3rd jan 2015 around 8pm. My bill number is 1C[protected]. I got an used cfl which doesn't work. When i went back to get it replaced today your representative there rudely declined it. What kind of a hopeless service is this. Why are you people selling old used products? I never expected this kind of a thing from nilgiris. The guy there told me that at the time of the purchase i should have opened the cfl's box and validated my purchase. So is this a luck thing? you open and check every product and if you fail to that then **** you, you get some old used up stuff. Is this how you treat your customers?

                                        Nilgiris super market at Vadapalani, Doshi Gardens, Chennai, are celebrating their anniversary this week, through tempting offers, fabulous discounts exciting discounts sent to the public through fliers. It says if you shop for Rs.1000 or more you get 500ml milk, minute maid 200ml, I-flo salt. For Rs. 2000 or more: 500ml milk, minute maid 200ml, 1/2 kg sugar, tide bar 250gm, I-flo salt. Rs. 3000 or more: 500ml milk, minute maid 200ml, 1/2 kg salt, tide bar 250 gm, 2kg aashirwad atta, 1 lt B Natural juice, I-flo salt. I was attracted by this offer visited the store on 4/4/2015, time 21:26:40. Bill no:[protected], Counter no.: 04., purchased grocery for Rs. 7394. I asked them to draw three bills one for Rs 3000, another for Rs. 3000 and the rest for Rs. 1394, so that I could avail three of the discounts. But they rudely refused saying that they could offer only one discount for Rs. 3000 and above. I was very shocked . No where in any kind of chain stores have I seen this kind of behavior or attitude shown towards a customer. Finally I refused to pick up the minimal discounts they were offering me and walked out. They simply did not care or bother to even to talk properly to smoothen the situation. It came to my realization that all the fanfare and advertisement was a mere eyewash. They just lure the public but do not keep up their word. When I should have got Rs 600 or over worth of goods as discounts, instead I got nothing. I believe your store with such a high reputation for over 100 years should not lose the public trust and support, because of such sales people/manager at the Doshi Garden store.                                           Dear sir, I am a regular customer of your esteemed Company. Even the bill I am making a complaint against is a purchase of Rs.1806.00. I purchased Origami So Soft Pre 3 Ply Tissue Roll 200 g for Rs.65.00. The amount is very negligible, but the treatment met by the Managing Director was very harsh. He sat in the Air Condition room reading news paper, never offered me a seat nor was he courteous. He had a muslim name if I am correct. He bluntly refused to exchange it even though I told him it was a non perishable article and I bought it for a foreign guest and the same is not useful for me. There was no board regarding the refund or exchange policy of the company. Request to take action/advise for better customer service and instruct the company to exchange the same for any other article.                                             I am writing on this forum to complaint against Nilgiris Supermarket at the below address 249, Kaliamman Koil Street, Natesan Nagar, Virugambakkam, Chennai - 600092, TN, INDIA My details: Ganesh Narayanan Virugambakkam, [protected] [protected]@yahoo.com I purchased a pack of Ovaltine and few other things today(2/10/2014) at Nilgiris store at Natesan Nagar, Virugambakkam, Chennai -92 around 8 PM IST. There are alarming concerns with regards to the price offered. - There is no rate MRP mentioned in the actual pack - Someone written 350(merely visible) using a pen or marker over the pack (without any retail symbol, or Nilgiris label or even a underreferenced Bar code. It was just merely written as 350 and it was not even completely visible. Please refer to the attached photo proof of the same) - Bar code reads two different prices, 275 and 325. However they did not select any of those and asked me to pay 350 which is nowhere else seen authentically. Had questioned this to the person but the person there answered me rudely and irresponsibly. Statements were made like " i am not responsible as it is a central repository", "this is a imported product and hence whatever we say is the price", " If you wish to purchase, you can or else, we dont care. But we cant do anything about it" by the person who was handling this issue in the counter. As a long customer of Nilgiris, i did not expect this kind of worst responses and handling customer queries. Finally they billed me 350 which was not mentioned anywhere other than a vaguely visible marker. I made the payment in purpose so that i can highlight this to the consumer forum to get some actions. I dont want to ignore this and go away as the people will never come to know of such malpractices which are happening in the store. Couple of issues which i want to highlight. 1. How can a retail chain write something at the back of the product using a pen, and expect customers to pay that amount? Adding to that this is entered manually by the person in the counter and it was a override. 2. The bar code which was against this product showed 2 prices in the screen. One is 275 and another is 325. How can a barcode read two different prices with almost 50 bucks difference? Inspite of this, Nilgiris made me to Pay 350 (75 more than first bar code price and 25 more than the second bar code price) 3. When questioned, the people there in the counter was not able to resolve the query where they were talking very rude and irresponsible to me. Not able to provide a solution or even the trust that someone will look in to this issue and get back!! 4. Is this a correct practice first of all legally? How will i even know whether 350 is the correct price? Why shouldnt i sue this retail chain for giving me such a bad illegal customer experience? Nilgiris has lost my trust today and i will not recommend nilgiris to anyone. This is not the first time something like this is happening and i am writing this down to you with heavy anger and disappointment. The people there didnt even make an attempt to help or respect customer values. I would like the forum to take this issue very seriously and teach these guys a proper lesson on what is customer service. I would also want the Nilgiris as a entity to compensate me properly for the mental agony and loss of productive time on argument.                                               I regularly go to the Nilgiris Supermarket located in Santhome (Foreshore Estate, Chennai). When i went there on 19/11/2013, I got a packet of samosas . On returning home, I noticed that the manufacturing date printed on the packet was tampered with. Clearly, "17 November" was changed to "19 November" with a pen. And the expiry date mentioned was only one day, which means that an already expired product was intentionally tampered with and sold to cheat customers without an iota of care for our health and well being. This cost Rs.20 and if they are doing this for something as meager as that, then we can imagine how they would cheat us for more expensive items. I immediately wrote a complaint in the feedback form in their website but till now there has been no reply! This is also not a one time incident. My friend also has a bad experience when she got some spoilt cakes from the same shop a few months back!
