Hi, continuous noise since 4days from now and it's unbarreable now. Can't here even TV.I have personally asked contractor to stop or shift the activity to other side of building which is open area but not shifted.address-Shivalay, Opp.Vrundavan party plot, Amar jawan chawk, Nikol, Ahmedabad-382350, Gujarat.

There is very loud and disturbing noise through big speakers at our neighbourhood near Nilayam theatre, pune

Sir I am student of class 10 and appearing for board examination but I am not able to study because of high volume DJ which ruining behind our house in city so I request you to take some legal action about it and one more thing that our state has banned DJ for two months because of board examination but the local police is not taking action for it

A marriage is going on behind our guest room, in a marriage ground . The music is still running in high sound after 10 pm, kindly do the needful. Also it is creating noise pollution.

Dear Sir, back side of our society, there is a huge construction going on by some construction company. since last couple of weeks, the construction activity is going on 24 x 7. they are using generators and pumps to pump up the concrete, which is causing loud noise all through the night. it is becoming unbearable to put up with it. the noise is too loud especially between 10 pm to morning 7 am. we are unable to sleep during night and this is causing deep trouble and effecting our quality of lives. please advice what action can be taken so that we can have peaceful nights atleast.

I leave at ganga vihar colony, patthaar ki masjid, mahendru patna-6 near about Radha Krishna tempale but it create huge noise even regular 72 hours continusly i have cardiac patient with me who feel lots of problem due to this noise. I think to create noise after 10 pm is ban but it is going regularly.
Is it any rule regulation remaining in town or not please help us and protect us from this untolerabale loudspeker sound.

In A1 Chote Lal Park Opposite keerti nagar (Main Najafghar Road), a work shop with the name of Yahin Motors is running. Small kids working in that work shop, its a child labour first of all. All its doing water polution, workshop doesn't have water treatment plan. Also those labour boys stay there in workshop in night and after drinking in night there create lots of noice. The Owner of workshop Amit Tanwar uses abusive language if we discuess with him. He beat us couple of times as well.
Please do something to close this workshop from our area.

Two Wedding Halls in Dombivali East - Sarvesh Sabhagriha at Tai Pingale Chowk and Aditya Sabhagruha on Agarkar Road are always flouting the Noise Pollution Norms by use of Loud Speakers beyond the prescribed levels making the life of the neigbouring citizens a hell. Despite several requests there is no any cognizance. Plates and Utencils are cleaned with lot of noise till 02.00 a.m. and we can not sleep peacefully due to this noise. Kindly take a congnizance of this Noise Pollution and arrange to take a stringent action through the Govt agency.

Near my home there is a temple. every day from 6a.m to 2.am they set their speakers on and do their kertan continuously .They have hanged speakers on streat lights ,one of the speaker is just on the streat light that is next to my home . I do not have problem with the kertan but they should not produce noice polution. This temple is near supermarket (B-3 block main road hanuman mandir) .


Please take some necessary actions as soon as possible as i have 2 old people at my home and 6 children who need to study for their exams.

Infront of my house there is a Agarwal Dharamshala cum marriage hall. every day there is a gaddering related any event some time there is a marriage some time there is some other functions and the worst part is the loud speaker and other drum set they are using in very noisey. some time they keep there function on till 11 PM To 12 PM.
sir we are a resident and the children have to go to school at 7:AM morning if they will not sleep till 10 PM it is very difficult to getup at morning 6:00 AM. because of so much noise pollution till late night we are too much suffering. please instruct the Dharamshal owner to keep the timing as per the Delhi govt. law.

On 28th Road Bandra at the junction of Linking Rd and 28th Rd, there are two restaurants - ON TOES and DHANRAJ

These restaurants attract people coming in cars and the staff park their cars any where on the narrow road which is a ONE WAY causing distress to citizens living in the residential complex. Although it is ONE WAY there is no observance and drivers honk late at night to show their might and end up fighting who is right and who is Wrong causing distress to senior citizens living on 28th Road

On behalf pf the residents of Lathif Colony, Zamin Pallavaram , I would like to bring to your attention the following:

As you are aware, Lathif colony is situated behind the Jains Green Acres apartments (approximately 700 flats). We have given a written complaint to the municipality with regard to removal of garbage heaped behind the flats ( backside of our houses) causing health hazards to the whole area. The municipality authorities were kind enough to solve the problem by taking away the garbage heaped at the back of the flats.

Now we are facing another more serious problem solution of which we feel is not that easy. Due to very poor sanitation arrangements the sewage water is over flowing from the flats to Vaidyalingam road which is adjacent to the Jains Green acres apartments inundating the shops opposite to the road and the commuters have to wade through this dirty water to reach their destinations. Though the flat promoter has constructed an ROS plant for recycling the water, its capacity is very less when compared to the in flow of the water from 700 hundred flats.

The residents of the flats are also facing difficulties due to this poor sanitation work done by the flat
promoter and they are compelled to do some arrangements by pumping it daily through tankers. Our concern is about the never ending sound of the motor pumping sewage water to the tankers. We have to bear with this noise pollution from dawn to desk and vise verse.

Of late this has become a non stop nonsense and unbearable too. Small children in our colony shudders in their sleep hearing this noise and not to talk about the stinking smell prevailing in the area.

We would request the Municipal authorities to make a visit to the area and take remedial action at your earliest to save us from this noise pollution so that we can have a peaceful life. You may suggest the people concerned to pump the water with a motor with silencer so that the noise will be bearable

Does anybody know where can we formally complain against such noise pollution. We are living in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, and the AC plant from the shopping mall behind us, makes a lot of noise the whole day. I wanted to check if there was an official place where we could formally lodge complaint.

Opposite to my home mavu(machine) mill is there from that they are producing more noise.we could not able to stay in home.they are opening the mill 7.A.M till 9.P.M.we cannot able do any work at home its big headache for us.We lost our freedom due to this sound.we have baby at home she always used to cry due that sound.we cannot able to read,we cannot able to watch television.we cannot able to speak telephone.we offen getting ear pain.so please understand our problem and vacate that mavu mill(machine) as soon as possible.

Travelars Buses are stop at nana varachha chopati, and may unnecessarily blowing high decible horns & huge trafic and makes noice polution as well air polution at odd hours (9 pm to 1 am).

Travelars Buse are stops at here we are not able to sleep at up to 1 am mid night everyday. This problem is not a small problem. we have mande a complaint to surat municipal corporation and collectore, but not yet any action take by any one. we are suffering from air,nocie polution desies. noise pollution — Noise Pollution by electric motors

Respected sir,
We are suffering from great noise pollution caused by electric motors of sewing machine side by my house. They started at 6 o-clock in the morning and stopped at 9.45 p.m. at night. They have many heavy electric motors in first floor which is covered with asbestos and with all open uncovered windows. All the time all this motors create great noise. We request several times, but they have no response. We have to wake up and also go to bed on their time schedule.
Please help us. we live with our old retired parents. All o[censored]s related with education. Please help us from this dangerous noise pollution and oblige.

I am a residence of velachery, chennai .We have very big noise pollution problem due to Auto Rickshaw about hundred passing by our home daily. The silencer of the auto is very noisy and it disturbes every one at home.
The owners of the auto add or remove something from the silencer and hence 9 out of 10 vehicle creates huge noise while passing the building.May your department take action in this regard soon by enacting suitable order to keep the city free from auto rickshaw silencer sound.

I will come to house and take rest(residential Area)
But there is a temple near to my house.
In this temple they are playing 3 loud speaker from 3am to 6am
the songs played are worthless.no meaning less
If we ask those person to keep atleast the sound lower, they are not following it

Restriction on the use of loud speakers/public address system:
(1) A loud speaker or a public address system shall not be used except after obtaining written permission from the authority.
(2) A loud speaker or a public address system shall not be used at night (between 10.00 pm to 6.00 am) except in closed premises for communication within e.g. auditoria, conference rooms, community halls and banquet halls.
(3) Not withstanding any thing contained in sub-rule(2). The State Government may subject to such terms and conditions as are necessary to reduce noise pollution permit use of loud speakers or public address systems during night hours (between 10.00 p.m. to 12.00 midnight) on or duing any cultural or religious festive occasion of a limited duration not exceeding fifteen days in all during a calendar year.

i live in katraj pune besides my place an illegal workshop is running where heavy forging work is going on and which creates lot of noise and air pollution .i had informed against this to the pune municipal corporation the police department and also the maharashtra pollution control board . but no action has been taken .where i live is an residential area and the wokshop owner has not taken any permission for the same . i am in av very helpless situation and have to face lot of noise everyday . i am more astonished regardig the the attitude of the government agencies to stop illegal activities

I am a resident of Revenue Nagar, Near Mayank Blue Water Park. There is a new temple constructed near that area from 10 o clock to 6.30 they turn on their messages and songs with loud voice in loudspeakers. The entire day we cannot concentrate in any work. There are lot of new born kids and old people in our colony which needs rest in the afternoon but due to these voices they cannot do that.
Once they are done there is a restaurant call signature they starts playing disco songs in loud volume.

There is no official who is checking such sound pollution.
Please see this matter.

noice pollution in uttam nagar rz-6 manas kunj uttam nagar because of electronic welding and gas welding. it is increasing noise and air polution

Dear Sir,

In our Jai Garden-Jai Nagar area-Off-Arcot Road, Valasaravakkam, a mosque was built recently (Well after Supreme court’s Ban order dated 29.09.2009 – banning construction of ANY religious structure in the public places/resident areas). The Muslim population in this area is very, very less, say hardly less than 1%.

There are 4 (four) Hooters have been fitted on these mosque and 5 times during the day, ‘baang’ is sounded from the hooters. It is disturbing peace of the area and creating nuisance for the local residents. We have, however, no objection to Muslims reading ‘Namaz’ in these mosques. The residents should get relieved of this problem.

The high pitched sound of the ‘baang’ also causes disturbance to people of other religions in performing prayers or chanting God’s name at their home.

We have a number of senior citizens living in this area, and all are feeling a lot of disturbance due to high pitched noise.

It has been stated in the memo in the end that such situation can create friction among two communities and necessary action be taken to maintain law and order in the town. A copy of the memorandum has also been forwarded to the police superintendent, Home Minister, Home Secretary, the opposition leader and High Court.

The Noise Pollution Act stipulates certain conditions e.g. ‘box type’ loudspeakers should be used instead of the hooters; the sound limit should not exceed 45 decibels and loudspeakers should not be used during 10.00 p.m.to 6.00 a.m. There are, however, many hooters fitted on mosques crossing the limit of stipulated sound level. Besides, the hooter is sounded right from 5.00 to 5.30 in the morning. Thus, there is violation of all the above conditions.

In a recent order passed by the Supreme Court, it has been stated that the basic rights of citizens should not be trampled on religious grounds.

Students and new born babies shudder whenever the hooter sounds.

Patients with asthma, who get sleep in the early mornings only are also victims of the noise by the hooters.

Within 150m radius, there is a hospital with in-patients and a school nearby.

Moreover, the residents in this area are peace lovers. They are resting at home after day’s hard work. In the weekends, the employed could not get rest and peace of mind due to the blaring noise of these prayer calls.

Even the birds shriek during the sound of hooter.

Please think, why we, the poor residents are to be punished in this in-human treatment by a group of persons?

Are we not civilized to conduct ourselves without causing disturbances to others?

If this is permitted, then how the social harmony will prevail? Only animosity will prevail.

WE ARE NEITHER AGAINST ANY PARTICULAR COMMUNITY NOR TO THEIR PRAYERS.

NOISE POLLUTION IS EQUALLY CONDEMNABLE EVEN IF IT CREATED IN HINDU TEMPLES OR CHRISTIAN CHURCHES OR GURUDWARAS.

Is it not the duty of local governing body to ensure that the Rule of the constitution is implemented? Whether the local police issued license to the newly built mosque?

We pray to you to kindly intervene in this issue and stop the menace for once and all.

I live near Sahyadri nagar in Kandivali(W) Mumbai. Various poojas and events are oraganised in sahyadri nagar on all and every Festival ocassions and also some other days. I do not complain regarding having the events or pooja. But the same and movie songs need not be broadcasted over the loud speaker in high decibles from morning 5'o clock till midnight. I have a eight month old daughter I cannot even hear her cry out from the other room due this noise.
Please revert with the steps that needs to be taken for curbing this menace.

At Durgapur - 12 on Shastri Avenue, near Ram Mandir, there is a vambey colony. Whether it is any occassion or not they are making nearby residents life hell by noise of big loadspeakers and it continues for around 18hrs in a day during occassion ... continues till 1pm at night. In most afternoon when there is no occassion they start the load speakers . They use poor quality audio players and bad songs which sounds horrible. It is continuing since vambey colony has been made about last few years. Residents here have complained several times to nearby police stations. No step has been taken to stop this.

People are fed up with the horrible music. Many senior citizen and heart patients lives here and are suffering a lot for this.

After having tried a lot and getting no results, I am humbly requesting you Sir, kindly take note of this and please help us.

Dear Sir,

I live with my age old mother in Krishna nagar, west tambaram chennai 45. There is a temple at the back side of the house on the main road. The loud speaker is fixed facing the direction of the house in tree inside the temple. The person who cleans the temple puts this loud speaker on all days and during the festival months right from 4 a.m in the morning and goes put to 7 or even 8 a.m. On fridays it again starts at evening also. There are many aged people and many kids studying but this sound goes on and on for so many years. We have told the temple authorities many times but is kept low for 2 or three days and then starts back. Because of this problem we are not able to sleep, due to old age my mother already is not getting good sleep plus this loud speaker noise which exceeds the noise level of 55 desibals. Can any one help to remove this loud speaker and give us peace. God does not want loud speaker and only if speaker is on people will come to know there is temple. Instead of providing some devine feeling this has created irritation. Kindly help.

I, Bharat Singh S/O Shri Prabhu Dayal, age 47, resident of Gehlot Vihar, Indri Road, Opp- Shiv Temple, Sohna, Distt- Gurgaon (Haryana). I hereby make the following complaint-
Under the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, there is a prohibition on high and unbearable noise in the residential areas. Despite the clear-cut provisions of this rule, Shri Mohan, 35, resident of the same locality is generating obnoxious noise throughout day and night adjacent to my house by running their illegal workshop of welding, iron cutting, iron construction etc and many more by occupying a part of common pathway for their personal use and causing disturbance in my neighborhood which is a blatant violation of government law. He is not only creating noise pollution but also creating air pollution in the surroundings. It has been observed that the high intensity of welding light (rays) creates irritation in eyes and the smoke produced during the welding work creates problems as well. During the past 5-6 months I have been witnessing this violation of law.

However I have also verbally requested Shri Mohan (owner of the workshop) to stop all this many a times. But he seems to be reluctant in this matter and nothing has been done in this regard by Shri Mohan. Also his labour boys (deployed by Shri. Mohan) stays there in the workshop in night and after drinking create lots of noise. They also play loud music in the late night. It has become a routine practice of the workshop owner. The workshop owner Shri Mohan uses rude and abusive language if we discuss the issue with him and threatened us. He also said that “ye to aise hi chalega, ye band nahi hoga”.

My children are doing their higher studies, but due to high noise they are unable to concentrate on their studies and unable to sleep due to heavy and loud noise especially during night time. My wife is a patient of migraine. We are unable to do any work at home and it’s a big headache for us. We lost our freedom due to this excruciating sound.
I have also approached the local police station at Sohna, Distt. Gurgaon (Haryana) for the same but no action has been initiated so far in this matter.

In view of the facts stated above the offences against the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000 read with section 15 of the Environment Protection Act, 1986 have been committed. For the reasons cited above, the offences committed by the accused persons are against section 15 of the Environment Protection Act, 1986 r/w Rule 5 and 6 of the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, may be registered at once.
Hence looking forward for strong action in this matter.

I also live in the same apartment complex. I keep calling the police (100) to come and stop the construction, but to no avail. I have been doing this for more than 6 months now and has had no effect. I have even called the office of the Assistant Commissioner of Police and that did not help either. Please post a message on the GWE Google Groups and we can coordinate our efforts. I am considering video recording the construction at night and giving that to the press. If you know someone in the press, it will help in publicizing this gross violation of right to sleep!

To answer your original question, the legal hours for construction end at 10:30pm and start only at 7am. Of course, the RMZ builders are freely violating every law. In fact, just last week, there was a new judgement by the Karnataka High Court that all construction should stop with sun down (6pm). This was a public interest litigation against Sobha builders, and the builders lost the case. I am also considering the option of filing a case against RMZ.

There's lot of music noise created near our house from the GYM which is next to Bandemaramma bus stop, Vinayaka Layout Nagarabhavi 560072. The noise can be heard for about 200 feet also. It will be from 6.00AM to 10.00AM and 4.30PM to 10.00PM everyday. As this is a residential area the people are unable to bear the noise created from the GYM. The old and children are feeing sick and they don't have any concerns for these issues.
Please stop this menace for the people located near that GYM.

Uptill now, it was a problem only with Muslim communities.. but now the same problem is with Hindu leaders/extrimists is that they have started torturing hindus themselves by their unmanaged armies of hinduism police. Who are now using Hinduism for their own monetary benefits. Even after request from common Hindus here, regarding the problems created by local criminals who full use of Hinduism to show their dominance and threat in the entire area.
Being a chairman of local society here, I could get hundreds of complaints regarding the noise problem, local terrorism, damage of public properties, roads, electricity poles etc.. done on the eve of festivals or for welcoming local hindu politician or leader.

I hope, right steps and strictness is taken by Hindu leaders to stop the menace. Or I fear the anger of people against such a misuse of Hinduism by notorious people.. will become a big problem for people in support of Hinduism.

Last few days in BTM Layout 2nd Stage, we hear a very disturbing sound from birds at night. Not sure whether it is from pegions or owls. The area is sorrounded by lot of pegions and I see one of my neghbour feeding them every day.

A temple in Vallikunnam south Poovandicherry temple is making Noise pollution and creating nuisance for public by playing songs in high volume through out day and night . This has caused great hardship to the old, the sick and others who wake up with a jolt every morning at 4.00Am to 9.00 Pm the loud noise coming out of the speaker.
I sincerely hope the concerned authorities would look into this matter and do the needful. Please kindly forward this complaint to the concern Kerala pollution control board officials and make the urgent actions to stop them from the noise pollution and save the environment and people living around.

We are staying in Wadgoansheri but I suppose this issue is in complete Pune.I have a complaint against the Ganpati Mandal who practice everyday for about a month before the Ganesh Festivals. We have to hear there loud noise of dhol and tasha everyday for minimum 2 hours. This is observed since last year and will go on for a month till the Ganesh festival ends. Its extremely disturbing as the noise is so high that we can hardly communicate in the house also it is very disturbing for children who are studying or senior citizens who are ill. I am a resident of Vatwa, satej homes.Gujarat I am having sleepless nights because of the loud music being organized late in the night and early in the morning.
Some event is going on at the society and its very very loud. I am totally in support of freedom to organize events at public place but either the volume has to be kept low at such a late hour or at least the loud speakers should be avoided.This is an ever going problem that religious functions or other events are organized using a very loud speaker at a very early morning hours or late night hours.
I am very sure there is a noice pollution act and looks like it is not followed properly in the town. I will really appreciate if some action is taken.

I live in Mylapore, Chennai. My neighbouring house is let out for rent by the owner who lives elsewhere. They installed a jet motor adjoining my kitchen wall. The tenants (about 6 tenants) run the motor for about 5 to 6 times a day and each time the running is for 1 hour to 90 minutes. The switch on the motor even at odd hours.The motor is old and being repaired frequently hence sound is so much and unbearable. I am 70 years and every time the motor runs it increases my BP and gives me a palpitation. My doctor diagnosed that I have Right bundle branch block in my heart.


The tenants do not have any coordination and as a result they either forget to switch off the motor even after a long run (motor will run for about two hours). Sometimes the motor will be switched by a tenant within say 10 minutes immediately after it was switched off by another tenant after a long run.


Further as the motor is touching my kitchen wall, there are lot of vibrations as a result the vessels and boxes kept in there are always shaking. To make matters worse, the vibration had caused a crack on my wall. Few years back, they made a whole on my wall while trying to repair the motor which was erected on my wall itself. After raising objection the motor was re erected on a small pillar touching my wall.


I have been requesting the tenants and the owner to visit my house and see the problem I face but no one seem to be bothered. The house owner is saying that he will look into the problem but it is now nearly three months and no action has been initiated. I seek your help to dress my complaint and help me to get out of this torture.

there is gurudwara on main road rehari chungi jammu. early in the

complained them. they put the volume low for 3-4 days but the head
priest again put the volume to high level. the only person is priest
who is responsible for this. the committee of temple have many times
told priest to put the volume in low level but the priest is not a

Gang amma temple beside our house playing music on loud speakers daily from 7am to 1.30pm and from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm. Causing vertigo nd high bp . Requests unheard. Plz stop this nuisance

plz take immediate action

It is to bring to your notice that the loudspeakers of temple near our house makes unbearable sound leading to enormous noice pollution and due to which our children are not able to study. The old people of our family cannot rest. The singers who sing in the temple are locals of the society and have no idea about the music at all. They have pathetic voice which is unbearable. This process follows every morning and every evening for more than an hour and at that hour of the day we cannot sit at peace. Our head starts to ache every evening. Despite our several intimations to turn the volume low of the loudspeakers, they completely denied.

Regarding noise pollution
We are the residents of Kurubarahalli, JC Nagar. We hereby complaining about noise pollution in our area due to power handlooms.There are many power handloom factories. They switch on the machines at 6'o clock in the morning and work till 10 r 11'o clock in the night. Due to the harsh noise created by these machines students are unable to concentrate on their studies. Old and sick people are unable to sleep at home. So we are herby requesting you to take suitable measures to solve this problem. I m hereby complaining on behalf of all the residents. No doubt if people suffer from hearing problems due to these machines. So please do take measure as soon as possible.
