Prepaid Taxi At Howrah Complaints & Reviews

The Brake, Accelerator and Clutch system of the taxi assigned was completely broken down, we got to know after boarding it. It left us mid-dway in middle of nowhere and we had a lot of difficulty to reach our destination from there. please address this issue and initiate a refund as soon as possible.

Today I travelled from Howrah to Joka. We were charged Rs 331. After that, the driver was asking for more 50 rupees for a short cut. We refused that.
We were informed that he can go inside joka uptp 500 metres. Before 500 metres only, he was shouting at me to get down.
These drivers shouldn't work for the prepaid services.

I had returned from Puri Howrah exp. early morning. When my turn came, staff went out side and talked with constable then came and made my prepaid slip. when i was looking for my taxi that constable came and asked me my slip in ordering way. When i asked what's his business with it. then he shouted and asked the same in scolding way. He had kept his face covered with monkey cap while it was not so cold. in return I scolded him back 'why should...

Today i took prepaid taxi from Howrah station for Railway Officer's colony, New Alipore, charged Rs.241.80/- car no. WB-05-5217. Driver took his copy forcefully at station saying he has to ask location. After 10 minutes he asked where to go. When I said my address he started showing tantrums that he was told for Petrol pump. he asked me if Railway colony is mentioned in slip. It was only New Alipore. he said that he will drop me near petrol pump and for railway colony I will have to pay Rs 50 extra. As I said I m not going to pay extra money. he said to get down of his car and he will take another passenger otherwise he will bein loss. i was told to collect money from booth. His language was very humiliating. He dropped me near Dalhausi and went away.

I booked prepaid taxi from howrah booth on 17.09.20 (today) at around 11:30 am (approximate timing) to Baghajatin, I lost my money purse in taxi, around Rs. 1100/- cash, pan card, adhaar card, IDBI bank debit card along with other important document, prepaid receipt was kept in purse itself and couldn't remember taxi number. Serial no.[protected] i boarded the taxi today from howrah prepaid zone after proper booking. And despite my denial he picked up two more passengers on way from howrah to sealdah. This is an utter shock. The safety concern is getting hampered. I request the concerned authority to kindly look into the matter. I look forward to your cooperation. The passenger's copy is attached herewith. Please take note of the matter. This is my humble request. This kind of behaviour from the driver is responsible for the loss of trust towards your company.

I request in the counter for prepaid taxi to airport. The counter guy tolf me it will charged 500. If you want pay 500 first then you will get the slip. Due to rush in long queue and my flight schedule i complelled to pay 500 for preapaid taxi to air port.
Taxi driver is very good, he suggested me to complain in online portal.
Surprising there was no camera install at the counter.

I booked a prepaid taxi no wb-25-e-9202 on 1/10/2019 at 10.05 pm from prepaid taxi booth at howrah station, lane:3. The destination was santragachi rly station and the serial no. Of the payment receipt was 773413.0001. The taxi driver not only refused to go to the destination but got me & my wife with luggage down from his taxi at the howrah main bus stand side. He said his home is at dumdum and he was forced to go to the prepaid lane and so he did not want to go santragachi. He also threatened that complain to any where even to the police would make him to go santragachi. Moreover the driver appeared to be intoxicated.

I booked a prepaid taxi at 10.21 pm from howrah as i want to go to my home, so i said to the counter, as wehre to go, near kalakar post office get the taxi no wb-04-d-1429 the driver force fully ask me to give the driver copy to the driver but i get it back from driver and said will give you after trip now the driver refuse to go to kalakar post office and said i will drop on satyanarayan park as written in the slip
No 1. Why satya narayan park is written in my slip you can check buy voice record check that i have not says satya narayan park
2ndly driver refuse to go to my house and leave me with my wife and 2 children at the howrah bridge where from i go to home with very difficulty at 10.45 pm
So pl take action against driver and write the right destination on theslip

I booked a taxi from howrah prepaid section. Our bill is 331.80. We gave him 535 but he did not return the change. Is possible please return the money as soon as possible. This problem just not for us only they did the same thing with other customer also. They did not called the customer to give the change if the customer forget to take the money. How irresponsible they are. Strictly take an action against this complain.

I was waiting at howrah station prepaid taxi booking from 11 am till 11.30 and then my turn came. My destination was 206 bus stand and i had to pay 245 rs. I handed the customer 300rs. He refused to give me change. He asked me to get change while i saw there was ample change available. When i asked there is change with you, i am waiting for half an hour please give me the change. He said"bohot change hai, tumhe nahi denge". This was the ultimate harassment and waste of time for me. This is why private taxi booking is growing side by side of prepaid taxi. Please take proper steps against such behavior. I want a reply for my time loss. This is disrespectful.

Taxi No WB 04E 8672, date 12.11.2018, time-06:12 pm. The driver started conplaining from the very beginning asking how much we had paid, how many kms, etc. even after showing him the passenger slip. When my husband said its 332.00 till Oxytown, he started the meter just after crossing the station citing that fare should be 400 and above. He even took an extra longer route for filling petrol.He kept on arguing the entire journey saying that the fare should be higher. He refused several times to take us to our destination and after a lot of heckle when we reached near our destination, he snatched the slips from my husband's hand and went around asking whether the place was really oxytown or not, without opening the luggage boot. After finally getting convinced he allowed us to take out our luggage and refused to give us our passenger slip. I finally told him that I will google the no and lodge a complaint he finally gave our slip. I called up to complain but the person in the booth told me to take 2 xerox copies of the passenger slip and complain to the booth from where we had booked the taxi which is not a feasible way for passengers. Kindly look into the matter and help us to not get harassed.

Wb -04- d - 9136, sr no-1043504.0001, at 4 nov 2018 was booked under me for 3 o[censored]s, me and my 2 girls. Our fare was 271.80. Destination :behala chowrasta. He was not only rude to us he swear bad words to us, screamed at us like we were dogs because he refused to drop us our destination which we paid 4. We walked away in shame. Our total bill in taxi was 251.20. Women cannot travel alone

I have booked a taxi from prepaid counter howrah vide serial no. 10360437.0001 dated 21 st oct 2018 time : 07 : 23 pm for onward journey to barasat colony more. We (2 nos female and 1 no male) were all more than 65 years. The taxi was started from prepaid place and at central avenue, he was not willing to go further.
Now you think our condition at that moment. How to go with luggage? That time was 08.30 pm. The driver should tell at prepaid place of his unwillingness before journey. I hope that it is a big harassment to old passengers.
So my request to take necessary action against the taxi no. Wb-04-e-3437 so that in future to avoid this type of harassment with other people.

They want to save petrol by going through longer routes and frequent traffic signals. We can't give our own convenient route, as they want to save petrol, which is very high!! And also they won't cancel the prepaid ticket, if the passenger doesn't want to go their way or route!! And we think that services are provided for the ease of passengers, so that they can move and plan accordingly!! These feudal system and mentality is worse than anything!!

I asked for a taxi to utkal bhawan on 24/02/2018 at 1:21 pm and they mentioned the destination as lenin sarani. The driver asked me the details and i told him to go straight from esplanade metro station as i knew, but he didn't know the route, neither asked anyone, then misbehaved and dropped at the other end of college street saying that the road is one way. I had to walk 2 km even after paying rs 102. Clearly he did not know the root and has no manner. The taxi number is wb 04 h 0342. Strong action must be taken against such money minded frauds.

I booked a prepaid taxi from howrah station at 6 am today (21.11.17). The fare was rs 202/=. I gave the person rs 500/ note and rs 10/, since i did not have two rupee change. The guy gave me the ticket and eight rupee back, did not give me rs 300 back. I was in a rush, people were waiting behind me and i forgot about the 300 rupee which i was supposed to get back. Later i remembered about the rs 300/- while in the taxi. I told the taxi driver. He said this is a trick these guys follow to cheat people. You have to ask them for the change, otherwise they will deliberately forget to give you back the change for large bills. I was in front of the counter for at least 30 seconds after receiving the ticket to arrange my luggage, if the guy was honest he could have called me. The taxi driver told me never give them large bills, have rs 100/- notes ready, give them exact or close to exact change so that they do not get opportunity to cheat you.

My sister along with her son took prepaid taxi on 22/10/2017. For liluah p s whose sr. No [protected]. Taxi no wbo4 f 4892. She came from up. Driver demand prepaid slip and return customer copy before boarding at prepaid taxi booth. She was unknown and feared with the behaviour of driver. The driver get down them at malipachghara area. Again by an e rikshaw she returned at our home near liluah ps. He also mis behaved with her. Please take action against him.

On 15th aug 2017, after exit from the old howrah railway station, i went to the prepaid counter at the right side of the exit (Extn. 217, serial no. 8112792.0001) at 9:02 pm. I booked 2 taxis from howrah to hanapara, keshtopur. The staff sitting at the counter first charged me 230/- each for two tickets which was clearly rs.3/- extra as indicated in the passenger's copy list (Rs. 226.80/-). I didnt want to argue with him as i was really tired. I handed him a 500/- note for rs. 460/- (For two tickets). He handed me the tickets and being mentally sickened at that time, i forgot to take the change of rs. 40/- and left the counter. After 1-2 min, after packing the luggage at the taxis, i realised that and approached him. He arrogantly said some harsh words to me in front of everyone and said that though he knows that he didnt gave me back my 40/- rupees, he is not going to give me the change since i left the counter and rudely forced me away. I requested him to give me the change as i was mentally and physically tired and somehow forgot at that instant, but he denied to listen me. I know its my fault to leave the counter without taking the cash, but this sort of response is pretty pathetic from the howrah city police counter, whom we rely so much for emergency transportation service after such long journey. I am also a psu employee and i know the importance of service treated to public. The behaviour of the staff was pretty rude and clearly he knowingly cheated me by keeping the change with him. I request the concerned authority to take necessary actions so that such issues dont happen with any other citizen.

I landed at Howrah prepaid taxi stand outside platform no. 22 and booked taxi for airport. He asked me Rs. 352, I paid the fare. later I found the slip he handed me is for Rs. 252 only . I know it is my fault also as I should have checked the slip and complaining here is not going to bring back my Rs.100 but I just want all to be careful of such thugs who can be found anywhere.

I booked a taxi on 12th November at 9:30pm from howrah prepaid booth, told him I will go to Birati, the counter took 280 rs and give me the slip as usual. Now, in the middle of the Road, as soon as the destination was approaching, the driver's attitude changed. Said he will not go and asked for more money as there was traffic jam in the road. Even after reaching my home, he snatched my bag so that I couldn't go. Misbehaved in front my home, shouted like hell. I am a 55 year old lady. What kind of service is that? I already paid.. why should I pay more and if the taxi is not ready then why it is in the prepaid booth.

6th september2015 at 7.35pm we hired a prepaid taxi from howrah station.serial no.4106586.0001.our destination was baguiati aswininagar, after reaching baguiati bus stop driver of taxi number 04D 2376.force us to leave the taxi.even after repeated request he said that he knew that this is not aswininagar but he will not go further.that time he said that no one is going to take any step regarding this type of problem.That time he used slang languages and misbehaved not only with me but also with my wife. Both me and my wife are doctor and in WESTBENGAL HEALTH SERVICE.and both from kolkata.We are shocked that if they behave like that with local people, how they will behave with those guys from distant places.

Today Morning we hired a cab numbered :WB04 B1450 (pre-paid).We paid a total of Rs.200 at the booking booth. The driver dropped us on the way and left saying today[protected] is a strike and he cannot drive any further(at Girish park), while we took the taxi for salt lake, Kolkata. He took away the passengers receipt from us .

Today on date 03/09/2012, i took a taxi reg. no.WB04C8623 booked through prepaid taxi counter from howrah station for sec 5 saltlake city vide receipt no.- 31525 . initially the driver tried to lift another passenger in his car but fortunately he was not of my route. then he took his car to tangra and stopped saying he will be back in 2 minutes. but i waited there for 25 minutes, he didn't come back, i was in hurry because i was getting late for my schedule programme . so, i hired another taxi and reached my destination very late. i paid twice for reaching my destination, and mental pressure in addition. initally i paid Rs 180. then RS 160 to another taxi. even on taking car from reliable source we are not secured. now what shall we do? i m finding totally help less.
