To The District Engineer, C.E.S.C 19.01.2014 Kolkata Sub : Disturbing sound from transformer Madam, With due respect, I would inform you hereby that the transformer by the side of my house is still making disturbing sound continuously.In this respect I had given you a letter dated 27.12.13 but till this time no one has turned up to lessen the sound of the transformer.Moreover I had a phone call from the number 24017603 on 1.1.14 at 6.15 p.m, someone calling from C.E.S.C to tell that nothing can be done to lessen the sound of the transformer and the person added to say that all such transformers all over Kolkata make such sounds only.Later when we called back at the same number the person did not respond any more and we could not know his identity. On the contrary of his information I have personally observed many such transformers in and around my locality which do not make any sound at all (eg.transformer in Paris Para-beside LP 122/8/0 opposite to flat SONAR HARIN, HO CHI MIN SARANI, transformer in Sanjib Pally etc.)or negligible sound with respect to the one by the side of my house. I am getting much disturbed due to continuous noise from the transformer(Becharam Chatterjee Road) by the side of my house(beside LP 52/35/13/2)especially in night and in early morning. We are not legally liable to pay his electrical bill Rs 4377/- which has been sent already at our address dated on 27/09/13. But I am getting a very high excess electricity bill dated on December 2013. Because they put on his bill on my electricity bill total as Rs 4790/-. Sothat I want to CESC office to speak about Rajesh kumar Shaw’s bill and what they told to pay according his bill and your bills also. We could not help you because his address is same.         This is regarding excessive charge for electricity consumption bill for the month of September, 2013.My consumer number is [protected] in the premises at this address;Santosh Kumar Talapatra, 1st.FloorFlat 2/D, 58 Padma Pukur Road, Ambagan, Kolkata- 700079 LP.102/10.You will kindly note that preceeding the month of Sept.2013 the bill raised by the company was very compared to the earlier bills.This is so because for several months now we have been out of town and it still continues to be so. Against this fact the exhorbitant charge shown in the bill needs to be looked into and corrective measures be initiated by adjusting the excess charges so levied in the following month.However, as is the procedure the payment of the bill amounting to Rs.2340/-has already been paid on[protected].           Dear Sir/Madam,

          I, Ranjit Kumar Sahoo am staying in a rented apartment in Bangur Avenue, kolkata. My land lord's CESE electric

          consumer number :[protected].
          For the month of SEPT2013, I have received electric bill amount Rs.851.00. I was not at home for whole SEpt2013 month

          and when I saw this bill, I wrote a mail to these mail ID's regarding the same on 18/oct/2013

          [protected]@rp-sg.in

          I had paid the amount in order not to be penalty.

          On 23/Oct/2013, I had received a mail from Mr.B. Mukherjee (Dy. Manager(Com) North Regional Office, CESC Limited) with

          this message :

          "Please do not pay the September/2013 A/c bill as we are arranging to CANCEL the same. The bill has been raised on

          estimated consumption as due to rains/water-logging, the meter-reading could not be obtained."

          Then immediately I replied to him (B. Mukherjee) regarding the same and also he replied with :

          "Kindly note that your payment will get credited in your bill and therefore will get adjusted with subsequent

          bill/bills."

          Now the Nov2013 bill has generated without any adjustment done (Rs.1200.00). I sent mail on 17/nov/2013 to same above

          mentioned mail IDs requesting to do the required adjustments. But since then there is no reply to my e-mails. They are

          knowingly not replying to my mail, not sure why. I had sent several follow up emails, but no response from them. This time also I have paid the full amount.

          But now I have decided not to pay any amount for next DEC2013 bills until my OCT2013 bill is adjusted.

          Request you to please help me on this. CESE seems tired to harass me here,

            Consumer no. [protected]. I paid the cable shifting cost to cesc but one naresh shaw submit a letter to cesc of objection but he do not have right for making objection. I also send letter with document of my personnel property but cesc not yet been sending any person for inspection and i paid masd bill of Rs. 9077.                       I try to use my credit card for paying my CESC bill but after putting my Master Card Verification Password appear a error massage "SORRY YOUR PAYMENT WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL" I already discuss with my Axis Bank representative regarding that issue but they are tell me this problem is CESC server problem and they suggest me to contact CESC.                               I , Mr. Shouvik Datta, son of Mr. Aloke Kumar Datta, residing at 31, A Prasanna Naskar Lane Kolkata 700039 had made applications for a new meter two times but it was rejected on both the occasions. When I went to meet the district engineer (south)personally for making an appeal to sanction a new meter, I was restricted two times by the person in the inquiry counter without any proper cause.My application reference number is 08/06648/13(35).

                                My self Satyabrata Nayak . Dardia ,Potanai . My complain is my father is a consumer of cesco . In cesco there was big problem in bill . My father update all bill in time but in last two month billing amount is not compare with my meter unit .please help because my family is poor family .[protected].

                                My 92 year old mother lives in Talegaon Dabhade, near Pune. She always pays her electricity bills well before the due date and has receipts for the past 6 yrs to prove it. Her bills have never exceeded Rs 450 in all of the six years. In March 2013 she did not get her bill, and was told that they didn't send her a bill because there was a credit of Rs 300 on her account. In April 2013 she gets a bill for Rs9, 000 ! They did the exact same thing to my brother some years ago, only his bill was Rs 36, 000. My 76 year old brother has been to the MSEB office several times ever since my mother got this bill to straighten this out but every time the official in charge is out. Each time he has waited for at least forty minutes and then returned home in disgust. He is a heart patient, has had a stroke and can barely walk. Because someone in that office is careless and incompetent, the public must pay the price. The officials are rude and arrogant and I am told the only way to resolve this outrageous situation is to ' know ' someone there. Someone needs to be sacked with immediate effect there and I hope it is soon. I live in the U.S and I can't do anything from here. Would appreciate any help.

                                  Dear sir,
                                  I am a customer of CESCO (electricity board) ,Khurda division, Odisha. We Installed our meter in Nov-2004 and we are being charged our Meter rent from that time to till date(March-2013).Till today we have already paid Rs.1680 as Meter rent and Rs.1000 paid at the time of installation to the staff.As per the rule that deduction will happen till the meter cost of that time.but i already paid too much and am getting bill with this meter rent also.
                                  So now my request is to pls verify my Consumer a.c and pls deduct the excess paid amount from my current bill.

                                  CESCO — Not clearing the extra arior

                                  We Mr. Maheswar panigrahi s/o-Anand at/po-kokalaba,dist-cuttack taking electricity but using current very low because my mother is traditional so meter reader doing minimum charge but after compl. minimum chages with drw but the arear of extra chrge they are not with draw now.

                                    This is in regards to Calcutta state electric supply, CESC. Our consumer id [protected]. I am writing this email on behalf of my parents who are honest and senior citizens of this nation and are being harassed by CESC. Yesterday 26th March 2012 some people from CESC came and sealed our meter saying the meter is in a tilted position and not straight.
                                    All this was done without any intimidation and even my parents not being there on the scene. They just left a notice saying “we want to check the meter”. Is this fair that people just disconnect power without notice or any explanation? My parents are more than 60 years old and we are staying here for a long time and there have never ever been any issues. I am trying to understand as to why this was done and the consumer not informed. To top all this today 27th March 2013 is a holiday in Kolkata and so in this heat my house would be out of power for more than 48 hours and that too without any fault of ours. My mother with the assistance of some of our neighbors had gone to CESC’s office and they asked her to come after holi and pay a fine for reasons unknown to us. We are in distress and seems like without paying the fine we would not get the power connection back.
                                    Please look into this issue as soon as possible.
