Since Last 2 months we are facing a huge fluctuation of voltages in our area 11 ,Pottery Road ,Kolkata-700015 (56 word )....We have done several complains to CESC .... but till date no action has been taken from their end ... Because of this reason any time our electronic goods like refrigerator, Television, Computer ,Fan,Light may get damged .... No initiative has been taken from their end ... We want a result of this complain ..

    Earnest Money of Rs 500/- for AC supply submitted on 23-Feb-11 (Form number: [protected]) for supply of electricity. Inspection carried out on 3rd March, 2011. However, we did not get report for long. After repeated follow-ups, finally we received a letter [ref. no. 04/01502/11 (512)], from District Engineer (Calcutta North District) stating that there are some outstanding dues in respect of consumption of electricity at house lying recoverable. This is absolutely NOT true. The matter has been referred to Commercial Dept for further investigation & we are still awaitng any further developement updates. It has been more than a month & we have not heard back (also there is not outstanding dues). Pls help!

    CESC Ltd. — Non availability of new connection form & guidelines

    I was searching for new connections forms in CESC websites along with guidelines but was unable to find so. if anyone can help me in getting the same..........pls do.

      sir,
      i have applied for a new connection and deposited the amt. as mentioned into the letter ref. no 0/13992/10(29) on dated[protected].Again on[protected] i got a letter from cesc wanting the extention of meter shed and fixation of main switch.Although i have already done job talking to the cesc JE before getting the letter and that was visited by the groundmen also.

      i have given a reply of the letter ref.no[protected] on dated[protected].i am under DE,SOUTHERN DISTRICT,CESC.

      IT was over 7 months.so plz do something .

        My name is Reba Dutta residing at C/28 patuli ghosh para, post office panchasayar, Kolkata 94. I want to bring to the court's notice our repeated complain to CESC to address the issue of having a hazardous electric post standing besides my house. Since 2008, I have been running after CESC officers to either relocate or underground the electric supply lines running dangerously close to my house and other neighbor’s house. The CESC officers admit the grave situation yet, in spite of submitting several complain: Reference Number[protected] dated since 3-4-2008 to Mr S Mukerjee, District Engineer (Southern District) and his staff, no action has been taken. The post has caught fire several times (most recent on[protected] and electricuted cables have been flying all over the places. It is just a matter of time before someone get hurt and loses their life. It is really unfortunate to see CESC officials completely ignorant and negligent on an issue of such serious magnitude. I am a old lady who is tired, losing faith in our system and need your assistance to support me on this matter at the earliest before something terrible happens in the neighborhood.

          This is the first time when I paid my Electricity Bill online on 25.02.11 by using AXIS Bank Debit Card. After clicking on the Pay button the message came somewhat like "No response from the the Bank" and there was no acknowledgement received whether the payment has been received or not by CESC. After that I checked my bank account details and saw that money was already debited in the name of CESC. In this case what shall I do because I am in a fix whether or not payment is received by CESC or not? If not , whether the money will be refunded or not in my account & in how many days? Shall I pay again now to CESC? Anyone facing this problem in the past may help.........!

          Respected Sir,

          I would like to inform you that i had already gave you a complain on 26.03.2011 regarding invisible of Meter Serial Number, Meter Consumer Number, Meter Reading Unit Number and Round Like a plate which rotates continuously.
          My Docket Number is:260311/[protected]/260311.
          I will also inform you that your Inspection officer has came on either 01.04.11 or 02.04.11 to inspect my meter.And they found the problem and told me that within 15 day your service provider will come and repair my meter.

          But i extrmely sorry to say that upto now nobody has come to repair my meter.
          And from the last two month i am unable to pay my electricty bill due to non reading o[censored]nit, because your officer is coming to take the reading but he unable to found the Reading Unit NUmber (its get hide).

          So i am requesting you to kindly take necessary action regrading my problem
          and send your service provider to repair my meter as soon as possible.

          Dear Sir/Madam My customer ID number is [protected] and consumer no is [protected]. For the last one week the voltage fluctuation has increased so much that my ac, fridge and TV trips. Please depute your personnel asap. Regards

          I have made the payment for the bill of June, 2014 through ICICI Bank debit card but have received no receipt of payment or SMS. Please enquire into this as the money has already been debited from my bank.
          I paid my Electricity Bill online on 08/12/2021 by using HDFC Bank net banking for the month of October but due date is November 15th. After paying the amount of 840, I had not received any acknowledgement message whether the payment has been received or not by CESC. After that I checked my bank account details and saw that money was already debited in the name of CESC. Now I received message that my CESC electricity bill Failed but not received my failed bill amount 840 to my account. In this case what shall I do, I whether the money will be refunded or not in my account & in how many days? Shall I pay again now to CESC? Anyone facing this problem in the past may help...!

            With due respect myself Priyanka Chatterjee(Consumer No. [protected]),meter no. 3925453 single phase,wants to convey that for last 3 months I am unable to get any meter reading as meter is not operational mode. Almost I made an approch to CESC office at Taratala,Behala,they advise that meter need to change & due to the shortage of device it will take some time.Finally on 09.02.2001 I made a complain to Asst Commercial executive who was really rude in nature though I waited for her for almost more than 1 hour.She advise to give that complain paper to Enquiry (Docket No.- 090211 / [protected] / 090211)which I had done.
            Today only I got the bill for the month of January 2011 where the reading date as on 11.02.2011.
            Under this curcumstances I am really preplexed to solve this problem.I am fearing the authority should not send the lump sum amount as arrear.As I am trying my level best to solve this problem. Need your sincear effort to replace the meter & install new meter on urgent note.

                Dear Sir/Madam,

                This is to make u known that CESC LTD enginer & employee is irresponsible and lazy,for my one problem sometimes one engineer visited my place and checked the meter but did not submitted the report,after few days some other engineer come and checked incomplete for the same problem but due to laodshedding,they left and imagined in the air that meter is looking fine.
                There is a lots of difference between saying and checking,CESC LTD has send the bill of more than Rs.6500/- during winter vacation december'2011 bill which is not possible as since my meter was insalled my average bill is 300/-month,as there is also reason of 2(Two) bulb glow for only 5 hours a day.
                Kindly see my problem as yet my problem is not solved

                  I am P.K. Chatterjee from Rabindranagar LP-163/2/4, Kolkata 700065 with consumer number [protected]. My electricity bill for the month November 2010 was Rs 530.00 for 133 units. Now as my neighbour informed me, previous in this month, CESC personnel who took the meter reading of our area for December simply avoided our house and took the reading of all others and as I was expecting CESC came up with an astonishing metered units upon their average consumption rate which is Rs 810 for 190 units.
                  I just tried to make contact with their regional office at APC Road but the phone went ringing. I want to know what should I do and how can I take steps against this?

                  This is a mew commercial meter.At first it was attached with the flat premises.Now it is a seperate meter.
                  on that time i can not get this kind of bill amount.My reeding date from 3/4/2011 to 3/5/2011.The total amount on that time is Rs. 900 /- . I think it is excess bill.Kindly notice it.

                        This is to inform you that by INDO-BANGLADESH ELECTICITY DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT'the power is in hand of bangladesh to seize all energy fromCALCATA ENERGY DISTRIBUTION CORP(CESC).they are taking up 1/4 of energy genarated by cesc.CESC is helplessly giving up all electricity to besc.infct they have unpluging CESC from kolkata grid and joining to bangladesh.CESC is being helplessly sucking into bangladesh energy supply.because they had no power to do anything and bescl has power to take how much energy they want,they can take all energy from CESC.so CESC is being helplessly suck out.nothing can be done except seeing.for this kolkata is having much load shedding . they are helplessly shedding energy so that bangladesh can take it.If this doesnt reduces(bangladesh can take enery but has to be a limit)CESC will be powerless .all on hand of bangladesh sucking and sucking,ending energy.

                            As on 31/12/2009 I received a wrong bill of Rs-6080/- In which my paid bills were not considered.(Included).After that I went to the office at Vaijapur .The officer accepted the fact and gave me the same bill corrected for Rs.700/-duly signed by him. I paid that bill. But that bill is not recorded anywhere. In the bill history it shows 0.00. Then the question arise that Where is the amount of Rs- 700/-
                            Secondly in this month again I received the bill of Rs.3610/- when my used units are only 54 and its amount is Rs. 212/-How it is possible?
                            so please see in this matter personally and give me the correct bill of Rs 212/- Otherwise for delay I will not be responsible.

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      On behalf of the Royal Plaza Flat Owners’ Association, I want to draw your kind attention about the following facts that:

                                      1. Apropos from the discussions that our representatives had with the District Engineer, North Regional Office, other representatives of his office and representatives of the adjacent premises on 14.09.2010, the District Engineer, North Regional Office agreed to meet again with us on 19.12.2010 to discuss the safety precautions that will be taken by his office before connecting the transformer in dispute. But, unfortunately, he issued separate notice to the flat owners of the Royal Plaza (174, Gorakshabasi Road , P.O. Nager Bazar, P.S. Dum Dum, Kolkata-700028) on 18.09.2010 threatning that he would disconnect our supply if our members or any person refuse to allow access during carrying out the job of energizing the transformer on 23.09.2010.
                                      As a resident of South Dum Dum Municipality and a citizen of India , we have the right for electric connection in our flats like others

                                      2. The District Engineer, North Regional Office sought a plot of land measuring 6m X 6m at the premises as your LTAC network in the area is loaded the capacity. Mr. Raja Ram Yadav, promoter of the building offered one space measuring 5' X 5' approximately for installing a transformer required for Royal Plaza only. The District Engineer, North Regional Office raised the question of bulk load that is needed in our complex whereas his office is going to install a transformer of 400 KW & 11000 volts, which is not at all justify his claim.

                                      3. The space was offered to the District Engineer, North Regional Office for inner consumption of Royal Plaza only, not for his other connections for locality.

                                      4. The Royal Plaza Flat Owners’ Association wanted to know what are the anti accidents measures that has already been taken before connection of the transformer in question.

                                      5. We demanded that the District Engineer, North Regional Office will have to furnish a declaration (in writing) about the liability that will be borne by him or CESC if his safety measures fail.
                                      6. We demanded for immediate stop of work before settlement of the disputes.

                                      7. We declared thet we will take no responsibility for objection, if any, arises from local residents / neighbouring building.


                                      8. We are very sorry to say that C.E.S.C. had a deaf ear to hear all the above objections and after we have taken back our objection regarding installation of transformer within the Royal Plaza (174, Gorakshabasi Road, P.O. Nager Bazar, P.S. Dum Dum) Premises, over the threat for the disconnection of electric line from the flats of Royal Plaza we saw that CESC men have broken our boundary wall without giving any intimation to us or any prior consent from us which is an illegal act for which CESC should be liable & at the same time be condemned. It is a criminal offence. Your men broke our boundary wall without the permission from our flat owners for making a door inside our compound for a passage to their newly built transformer, which should be called as 'trespassing' and 'breach of privacy' as well, of the flat owners. They also erect the metre / main switch board on our boundary wall not only without permission but also at the time when our president, who was alone present at that time, protested for the act, he was heckled and disregarded.

                                      On 28.09.2010 and CESC officers and staffs along with the contractor came again at the project site. They carried out their work not only without rebuilding our boundary wall but also they tried to break our boundary wall again for constructing a gate. Moreover, your officials and contractors are using the common place of Royal Plaza without our consent. On the other hand that should have been done on the road side.

                                      We demanded that CESC should rebuild our boundary wall which was broken by their officials on 28.09.2010. We will not allow common passage of Royal Plaza (except which was offered to you by the promoter of the building) will be allowed to you or your officials or contractor for any type of work in the project site.

                                      In this situation you are requested to kindly see that the dispute can be settle at an earliest opportunity .

                                      This is extremely urgent.
