Concerned Authority,

To the reply of my previous complaint I have been suggested to pay the electricity bill through EMI, and the reason of high rise is been said to be the exact meter reading after the COVID.
I want you to know that I have already paid the excess amount of Rs. 2950 for the month of June which was much much more than my regular consumption.
I completely cooperated with CESC when I was given the reason of temporary termination of meter reading due to COVID, as a result the sum was delivered collectively on the month of June.
But again Ive been given the same reason, which is really unpleasant.
So, i request you to look into the matter as the bills Im receiving is very high than my electricity consumption.

      Abeyance charges are 224 units realized in July. I paid for the same in June for 419 units(including consumption in month of May for 195 units). So i think may be CESC should do the math before sending out the memos. They are now charging me with an extra amount of 200 rupees.

        The bill amount is coming too much last few months which is non tolerable. We just use light and fan and the bill used to come earlyer between 500-700 but last few months the amount is coming 1400, 1600, 3000 etc. Which is not acceptable, no one is coming to check the meter nighter sending meter reading in the bill. We never expected this type of service from CESC. Why this type of chitting is going on? Please look into it and correct the bill amount other wise we have to take legal action as this is too much now. Our ID is [protected] and [protected].

          In bill for june 2020 cesc had forwardedone billamounting to 1970, 00in name of susanta kumar basu detailing analysis of remaining arrear from march 2020 and declared that total consumed units kept in abeyance is 247unitsand the was duly paid In months bill amount was 2100.00 appearinfg to extremely high I had called customer care who replid that part of arrear bill has been added but in the bill nothing was written to that effect and so on bills have been coming no bill was unpaid, now in the newspaper I found that cesc shall once again start sending bill incorporating so called unpaid bills once again in 10 installments in the news cesc has stated that they had kept in abeyance unpaid bills collection. matter appears to be ambiguous kindly take up the matter with that authority on my calling the customer i received no reply only sayiny that as per cesc"s policy it has been done nosuitable reply was given i am enclosing copy of my bill for june 2020

            The electricity bill has been extremely high lately.
            I have started receiving bills with higher amount than my consumption since September and gradually it is increasing.

            I have been using the same amount of electricity as other months, which I'm sure about and yet my bill is extremely high.

            I dont know what is the problem behind it, But I can assure the usage of my appliances which is even lesser compared to other months as these are the winter months.

            I request you to resolve the issue as soon as possible so that I am not overcharged again.

              The person who took meter reading on 4/11/20 wrongly noted the reading as 3724 instead of 3424. As a result the no o[censored]nits consumed increased by 300 and I have got a high bill of Rs 2310.
              Currently the meter reading is 3460.
              Informed this to the next person who came for meter reading, but she did not even take the reading of this meter, stating that her seniors have asked her not to. Complained on CESC page but after submitting complaint I am getting a blank page.
              Please fix this issue so that I can make the payment.

                Complaint about Heavy Electricity Bill Problem

                I am writing a complaint in regards to the rising electricity bill. The electricity bill has been extremely high lately. I am a single bachelor with my nephew and I cannot handle such high prices because my job has been lost. Now I am an unemployed person.

                I have paid Rs. 300.00 last month dated on 27 Oct 2020.
                But this month's bill is INR 850.00.
                I can not understand what...

                  I, the undersigned customer of CESC, would like to inform you that my monthly clectricity bill amount generally comes range between Rs.200 to Rs. 250 but the bill for this month is Rs. 7500 which is not possible.
                  Therefore, I earnestly request you to correct the current bill and issue a fresh bill for the current month. Otherwise, please adjust the excess amount for the current wrong bill amount in the next month's bill amount.
                  I hope my complaint will be resolved as soon as possible.

                      Hello Team,
                      I, Indrajit Chakraborty, Son-In-Law of Sitangshu Bhusan Mukherjee is observing inappropriate electricity bill (1870) for last 4 consecutive months and amount are almost same. As per electricity billing and consuming trend, we used to pay half (870) of the amount and how come it raised suddenly by double, we do not understand the logic behind it. I have submitted all the bills online till Sep, 2020. But it is becoming pain for us to pay double bill going forward and have not seen any initiatives from your department to fix/adjust the amount.

                      In that scenario, I need to escalate to your higher management to make them understand how your team is working to solve customer's pain area.

                        I am a CESC consumer for more than 25 years. My Customer ID is [protected] and Consumer No. is [protected]. My actual unit consumption from May to September 2019 was 1795 units and corresponding months i.e. from May to September 2020 was 1651 units based on their actual / estimated reading. Surprisingly I had received my October 2020 bill stating that in a single month my unit consumption have shot up to 2231 units and the gross bill amount...

                          Consumer id:[protected]. c.no.[protected], regional office, southwest p-18, Taratolla road, Kolkata 700088 tel[protected]. the meter no.4805947 reading was on 26/11/2020, (07844) & 27/10/2020 was (07779) total= 65unit is consumed and both cases I get SMS confirmation to my ph.no. which is the same as the physical meter reading in front of me. but the current bill shows total units 128, so according to that, the bill amount is high. kindly rectify the bill & send it back for the payment. today my due date. kindly send me the paper bill, For a long time you stop sending a hard copy. from that time all problem happening. it is very difficult to track your billing records. you sending bill as you wish. kindly look after the matter. I lose my job due to COVID-19. extra financial burden, how we will survive sir?

In this September'20 & October'20 suddenly CESC send me 345 unit (rs.3540) & 373 unit (rs.3100)in my electric bill which was not come in my previous years any month.This is absurd and totally ridiculous amount being demanded by CESC.I Request you to re-check the meter reading as the amount consumed is unbelievable and not justified, please compare previous years reading as well as last six months consumption. The reading seems to be wrong or misplaced.
                            Hence, I request that take the proper action and reduce my bill value. I also expecting reply my reg phone no [protected]

                              It has been past one year we have not been staying at our residence due some health treatment requirement . We have also submitted advance notice to South Regional office on 11th December 2019 and the same was acknowledged by the respective authority and with an acknowledgement copy vide docet no 11947170.

                              However shockingly we have receiving billing with huge amount despite of not consuming any unit since 14 DEC 2019. I am attaching the advance notice acknowledgement for your reference and request you to look into the matter urgently to resolve this ethical practice by CESC .
