I am quite shocked to receive the electricity bill of rs. 20, 310/- for my house for the last two months. It is just not possible to have used so much electricity in the last two months as i have enclosed the normal usage and rate of amount as per the normal usage.
There seems to be a mistake in the reading for the last month; the meter readings are also not actual as the number o[censored]nits consumed.
Please rectify this mistake at the earliest so that i can pay the actual amount.

      I would like to draw your attention regarding the fact that the electricity bill amount generated in the name of chanchal kumar saha, consumer no - [protected], customer id - [protected], address - 4/2k/88, ho chi minh sarani, kolkata - 700061, in the month of may, is unusually too high. The bill amounts for the previous three months were respectively rs. 2890, rs. 4670 and rs. 3200. These were paid online in time. But for this month, the bill amount has risen to rs. 16, 490/-. There has been no overusage of electricity and hence, i am clueless regarding the havoc increase in bill amount in this month. Rs. 16, 490/- is too high to be paid and i cannot afford it at this time of crisis.
      To conclude in these circumstances, i would therefore kindly request you to oversee this matter within due date (18th july, 2020)

          Dear sir,
          This is to draw your kind attention that i have received a huge bill due to illogical estimation in the last month consumption. Average of last 6 month can't be the proper logic as it is having winter months. If you look into the same period in the last year it can give a close estimation for the same. My last month consumption was shown 197 units only but in the last year in the same period it was 330 units (This year it may be some more units as we are working from home). I have calculated my billing and come to a result that i was charged rs. 710.39/- (Only on energy charges with out any tax) high due to this wrong estimation on your part (I believe it was not unintentional). If i consider the tax it will be more than rs. 800/-. I have calculated it considering if you estimate the unit consumed as 330 (As in last year) against 197 unit which was charged illogically.
          It this pandemic situation most of the people are suffering for their bread and butter and this illogical calculation will no doubt put us in further trouble.
          Requesting your good-self to reconsider the same and rectify it before the due dates (10/07/2020).

              We have paid bills for every month, there were no dues and we have no such usage that bill can be amounted to 10, 000/-. We are quite incapable to bear this. Kindly recheck the meter and consider the bill.

                  From march onward to till date meter reading not taken. But bill amount of the previous month (May 2020) was very high.in this bill present reading shows 12835 but current reading shows nil but unit consumed 4173 which was unjustified though the meter was not reaching consumed reading/unit till date. Complain given to cesc howrah regional office also in online docket no. 4120952. But till no result shows. We would request you rectify the unit consumed by physical checking of the meter and corrected the bill accordingly.

                          Received your bill dt. 20-06-20 for the month of may/2020 on 29-6-20 and shocked to see the billing amount of rs.2600/-.
                          Fact of the case :
                          That you have raise bill for the month of feby/20 of rs. 535/- in lockdown period last meter reading unit was 3924.
                          Thereafter your office raise bill on assume last year basis whereas reflected unit 108 for the month of march/20 and unit 67 for april/20 during lockdown period.
                          That after your person taken present meter reading unit 4453 on 13-06-19 and you have raise bill for the month of may/20 for unit 354 of rs.2600/-.
                          Sir, after march/20 & april/20 balance unit you had raise bill in may/20. So for the month of may/20 billing amount is higher as per unit rate slab calculate by cesc. The calculation as under :
                          For 354 unit energy charges rs.2506.83 plus fixed damage charges rs.105 plus meter rent rs.10/- total rs.2600/- (Aprox).
                          Sir if you are calculate total unit in average basis [ 4453 – 3924 = 529 ] it will be every month unit 529/3 = 176 (Apx).
                          As per your calculation energy charges for unit 176 should be for the month of march & april/20 rs. 1116/- plus fixed damage charges 105/- and meter rent 10/-, mcva ra.20/- total billing amount should be rs.1251/- per month.
                          Kindly note that i had already paid rs.1780/- on 01-16-20. So unpaid amount should be (Rs.1251 x 2) – 1780 = rs.722/-
                          For may/20 billing amount should be rs.1123 + rs.20 + rs.105 + rs.10 = 1258/-.
                          As per my calculation, this month (May/20) my bill should be rs. 722/- + rs.1258/- = rs.1980/- instead of rs.2600/-.
                          Therefore you are being requested considering the above fact, kindly re-calculate bill for the month of may/20 and send me the same in my e. Mail so that i can paid as early as possible.

As the due date is 01.07.20 please rectify it and send me the revised bill at the earliest or do the nedful. As amphony attacked, we were powerless also for hours after hours in those days.                                 To whom it may concern,

                                Due to nationwide lockdown from march 20, physical meter reading was not possible for the bill month of april 20, may 20 & june 20.

                                It was said that estimated bill as per previous year's consumption will be claimed which is quite understandable as well as acceptable.

                                However only in bill month of april 20, 141 units were claimed which is same as april 19. Claimed units in bill month of may 20 were 151 units which is less than may 19 bill of 204 units. Similarly only 144 units were claimed in june 20 bill which is much less than that of previous year's bill of 253 units.

                                Now, as physical meter reading has been started again, this rest of approx 152 units will be added up with this month's consumption, resulting a huge bill amount as it will go up to higher slabs due to your tariff system.

                                Therefore i would like to claim a tariff benefit from your end to ease up the burden of high bill in this hard situation.

                                  1. Average electricity bill amount is rs 600 to rs 650 every month. Last month electricity bill issued by cesc the amount is rs 4040 including may bill rs 630 which is due. So the latest bill amount is more than rs 3300 which is unjustified and not accepted.

                                  In reference to custID:[protected].
                                  I have recieved a bill of Rs2000 for the month of May. Is this a joke? I just have two fans, two Led bulbs, and a fridge which runs at regular basis. And my regular bill never goes beyond 1000. The bill shows 285 units comsumed between 14/05/20 to 11/06/20. Inspite of three days power cut due to cyclone in this period of time, how can I consume 285 units when my usual consumption is approx 120 units. They are overcharging because of their restoration charges of the damages caused by cyclone amphan.

                                    Dear sir/mam,

                                    This is in respect to the incorrect method of billing the electricity for the last three months.

                                    The bill for the month of may is inclusive of the unit for the last 2 months which was not accounted for in the previous bills. Thus the bill represented 479 units.

                                    Now since we have received an accumulated bill due to such unavoidable circumstances, the total bill amounts stands higher due to higher rates applied when the units rises above a nominal standard set by the company. This isn't justified and the customers are supposed to receive a revised bill wherein on the basis of the last year an approximate usage can be charged for each month or the entire bill should be charged at the basic rate and not on the set standards.

                                    Due to such negligent behaviour the end customers are forced to pay the higher unit slab charges in spite of normal usage. I hope you understand the intensity of this mail and respond in the quickest way possible with a proper solution.
