Road Kolkata- 700058 Sir, Sub: Grievance for excessive bill amount for August 2014 vide Bill No: [protected] Consumer No: [protected] Customer ID: [protected] I am to draw your immediate attention towards the electricity bill of my residence for Aug’2014 which is exceptionally higher than my actual consumption and which is evident from the consumption of the last six months which shows an average of 200 units approximately. But this month my bill shows an amount of Rs, 2190 against the consumption of 325 units which is quite absurd and not to my actual consumption commensurate because of the fact that at present our staying at the above premises is very occasional. Only a few days in a month. Therefore, I shortly put my objection to the above mentioned bill for Aug’2014 and though I have duly paid the amount, I request you to revise and adjust the excess amount in the next month. Cant find a helpline number for the same to address my issue. Due date is 16.09.2014. Don't know if bill paid or not and amount is debited from my account. Please help at the earliest.

      Recently our wooden meter board was replaced with fibre board by you after complaint as it was broken but it is observed that the meter has not been sealed at that time. It only come to our notice when one of your officer came to disconnect the meter line of our tenant Lakshman Choudhary, Consumer No [protected] and customer ID no [protected]. Sir/Madam, Kindly refer to my letter submitted to your office at 6 Mandeville Gardens on 11/08/2014 alongwith a Cheque for Rs.2500/- Drawan on UBI, BP Township Br, Kolkata, in your favour. Also kindly refer your serial no.11/08/14/211774 & Dicket No.110814/[protected]/110814 of your receiving counter. My Consumer No.[protected]. Presently I am at Delhi and received SMS from your good office and learnt that the bill amount for the month of July 2014 is Rs.1310/- and the bill has been dispatched to my residential address at Kolkata. In this context I like to state that an amount for Rs., 2, 500/- has been sent to your office along with my above referred letter. But till date the cheque has not been presented to my Bank. You are earnestly requested to get encashed the said cheque and adjust the bill amount accordingly.             In reference to the letter dated 10/9/2014 in pursuance of Ref no 08/13218/14 I would like to inform that I am not drawing supply from existing meter. I only used meter of the land lady temporarily for the wiring purpose. We are going to shift to the same premise very soon. So we need new supply. I request you to take necessary steps and be a part of mission to discourage people to use electricity illegally. Being a teacher, I can not do anything wrong to give example to the people. I hope you will understand me and arrange a new meter as soon as possible.

              I ma trying to fill the online application for new connection, however after filling the Adjacent / Extg Consumer No [protected], the meter number is automatically filled but the District is not getting filled. Hence I cannot complete/save the form. Request look into the matter....

                Ref: Consumer No.[protected] Dear Sir, Due to fluctuation in the electric line of my house I lodged a complaint at your office on 29.8.2014. The electriciansfrom your department came and after examining the line told that the kit kat had to be replaced. They promised to do the needful within two days. As nobody came from your office to replace the kit kat I booked another complaint on 2.9.14 vide docket no.[protected]. After waiting for three more days I again contacted your office on 5.9.14. Another docket no.[protected] dt.5.9.14 was given to me with the promise to rectify the fault within two hours. Till date nobody from your office either contacted me or rectified the fault.                   I Came to know from that CESC is providing service in my above mentioned premises in the name of some un-known persons without my permission. I am the land owner of the above mentioned property in which CESC going to give service without taking permission of the premises owner.

                  Service reference no which I got are 1521, 18932, 18933, 18934, 18935, 18936, 18937, 18945, 18946 & 18947.

                  You are requested to not to give any service connection in my above mentioned premises in any person/s who are approaching CESC without permission of the premises owner.

                      Dear Sir It is the second time that I am complaining again a HIGH BILLING amount. I have only one tube light, one fridge, one kitchen chimney, 2 fans, 3 cfls, 2 tvs in my only 400 sq.ft. one bed room flat, but all these electrical items run from 4 pm only because we are only 3 members and we come to home at 4pm only so how can such 222 units consumed during AUGUST 2014 at my meter when no electrical item runs during morning and also when there is no extra ordinary electric gadget at my house. POWER THEFT IS ALSO POSSIBLE because few people generally tap others' line with the help of a local licensed electrician named Nando, who also claims to have a good relations with your CESC people.                         Electricity is being theft regularly from Pole no.AC 843, installed on the opposite of premises no.18 Iswar Ganguly Street, Kalighat, Kolkata - 700026 by S/Sri Subai Halder, Prasanta Halder, Ram Das, Shyam Das etc, all residents of 18/2, Nakuleswar Tala Lane, Kalighat, Kolkata-700026 and using the same in a temporary goomty (Said to be club), set by them unauthorisedly on the vacant land just opposite to 18/2, Nakuleswar Tala Lane, Kolkata 700026. We apprehend that serious accident may take place at any moment. Please stop this illegal activity.

                          I am having consumer no [protected]. For the last month I have received a very high bill. Suddenly I have seen a huge rise in my monthly bill, the last month being more than double. I would like to state that my consumption pattern has remained the same and has not increased but rather decreased. Last year also there was an inconsistency noted for the bill of month 07/13 which was reported but no action was taken. Hence I demand an analysis as well as a survey as to why the monthly bill has increased so much. Please take this issue seriously. Thanks Omprakash Patwari

Near my location 1 person having 1 single house ( owned around 100 Sq.ft) having 4-5 different meter supply electricity from 2 domestic meter to more or less 50 rented houses. Sub: Consumer [protected] ( in the name of Mrs. Nayantara Chowdhuri )& Meter No. 3354980: Abnormal Bill of August 2014 : Dear Sir, 1) With reference to the subject stated above, I am to inform you that as per the monthly bill for the month of August, 2014, the figure of consumption shown in the said bill is found to be abnormally high and absurd. In fact, there was no usage of electricity from 18th August since there was nobody staying during that period, the consumption shown is the highest in this year. Normally consumption of power goes up in the months of April and May during summer. Even then the consumption has been shown as 1331 units [Rs.12000] in the bill WHICH I FEEL IS NOT AT ALL REASONABLE NOR LOGICAL SINCE NOBODY WAS STAYING AT THE PLACE AND THERE NO QUESTION O[censored]SING ELECTRICITY . 2.                                       Dear Sir,
                                      I stay at PATULI MASZID PARA, GARIA. I would like to bring in your kind notice that in S/B F8 PATULI GARIA, KOLKATA 700084, LP 143/37.
                                      METER NO: 1536424. CONSUMER NO:[protected] meter has been installed. I have noticed that after the meter reading has been taken by your representative every month 2 persons comes to the meter and they manipulate the meter. I have checked myself and notice that all the electronic meter shows red light in Phase and CAL but 2 meters shows green light on the same place and their display also looks yellowish.
                                      I request you to please send your representative to have a check. This people has put lock on key in the meter room so that no body can have a check to their manipulation.
                                      Yours immediate action will be in the benefit of CESC.
