Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation [CESC] — denial of a separate connection
Applied to cesc (Reference no. 04/03019/18). For a seperate connection in my name as two separate families are sharing a same common meter. Inspectors from cesc promptly visited the house and enquired for the reasons for seeking a separate connection in my name.in response to their queries it was clearly mentioned that two separate families with two different mindsets and purchasing power are using the same meter and the applicant is facing strong objections from the other family regarding using high end appliances. As a result the applicant is unable to install ac or buy other high end appliances. But a separate connection was denied by cesc on ground of splitting the load for reducing tariff charges. At present present both the families are using only 03 fans, 01 tv, 02 computer. The reason cited by cesc does not hold ground as if a separate connection was provided, then the applicant could use high end appliances generating more revenue for cesc.
