To, The general manager Cesc ltd. Regional office - howrah Sir, This is to draw to your kind notice that on 15 mar 2018 as i returned home i found my power supply of my flat disconnected. I was surprised because my dues were all clear and moreover i never got a call informing me about this disconnection. I was staying with my daughter alone at that time as my husband was out of india for some work. My daughter was having her final exam during that time. I called cesc helpline but they said nothing could be done till the next day. They also checked my payment status and found it clear. I didn't know what to do and felt sense of betrayal by the company. Having no option i took connection from my another flat next door. The cesc concerned people came next night to restore power. 1. There were two persons. They gave me a call on my mobile to come to the meter area. It proved that they had my number. They were the same persons who had disconnected. My question was why couldn't they call me before disconnecting?? I could have told them about my payment status. 2. As i went there they behaved very badly with me calling me thief for taking connection from my another flat. I explained but they threatened that they would complain to the office and would not restore power. 3. To this i said that they had disconnected my power supply without informing and when i had cleared my dues on 7 march 2018. I would rather complain to the consumer forum for harrassment. 4. They got up on a bike and told me to do whatever i want but they will not restore power and left my place. 5. I was at the end of my wits. Whom to complain about their behaviour? I went to the regional office and requested them for my power restoration. The concerned was very rude as usual. It seemed i did a crime to ask him why was my line disconnected when my dues were clear. I couldn't even complain about the misbehaviour of those two persons. 6. Suddenly he spoke over the phone and started shouting at me before a group of staff who had clustered around me and my daughter. He shouted saying that i had made a video of his inspectors and threatened them. I was too shocked at this false allegation. I protested to which he said that i believe my inspectors and not you. I found everybody looking at me as if i was the guilty one. This was harrassment big time. 7. I had the number if the person who had come the previous day in my mobile. I called him. I asked him what was all this. He denied vehemently. He said that the officer must have got him wrong. He never said such things. 8. A lady official came up to me saying that my power supply will be stored immediately. May be she understood the officer's mistake in putting false allegation. All said, i hereby request you to please look into this matter and punish the guilty for hurling insults at me and behaving extremely bad. Hoping for a prompt action.
