I smt. Kamla n rohra above account holder, handicapped, senior citizen got looted rs. 28000 through cyber fraud from the holder mobile number [protected] who introduced himself as deepak kumar, as i searched for customer care phone number of d'mart since my daughter in law wanted to visit their store, so i got the number [protected] and when i called they said they are open from 8 to 11 but they are offering coupon to visit the site due to covid and they are charging rs10 for that, so they asked me to download anydesk software on my android mobile and asked me to write debit card credentials and i written details of debit card ending in 1677 on my mobile after that my account was debited for rs. 20000 plus rs. 8000 today. We called canara bank customer care to report the fraud but they told to file police complaint at local police station. I have sent an email to your thane cyber cell at cp. Thane. [protected]@mahapolice.gov.in also along with other cyber-crime email addresses. Following sms i got after deduction of the amount:
We searched on web the number [protected] seems to be from west bengal as voice mail is in the bengali language and truecaller application establishes this number of customer service west bengal.
Now bank is saying the information is leaked by you so bank is not responsible.
I am a senior citizen, widow, dependent on my only son who is also unemployed due to covid situation, i have polio since birth and i got paralysis attack some time ago so i cannot walk and come to your branch, however, please feel free to contact me through email [protected]@gmail.com, phone [protected] or personally on the contact information you have above. Now i have lost the last monetary savings of my life with this. I appreciate your heartly cooperation and best effort in this regard.
