Canara Bank — regarding passbook update | |||
I unfortunately did open a savings account with canara bank sector 16, faridabad under the sukanya smriddhi yojana scheme in year 2016. As it is for my daughters future, i go to the bank once in a quarter to save some money in her account. Over last one year everytime i visit the bank with an intention to get the passbook updated, i am being asked to come the following day citing some reasons. It's not that their is some negligence in the account, but the bank employees attitude that harasses the customers like me. Yesterday my request to update the passbook was turned down stating had it been a general savings account, they would have updated it. Teller 1 is being held by a po who knows me in person as he was earlier posted in canara bank sukhrali branch gurgaon. Teller 2 is operated by a lady. Though i reside in faridabad, my office is in gurgaon. It is imperative that i won't be able to go everytime to get the things done. As everything is getting digitized, i would urge the canara bank functionaries to get the sukanya smriddhi yojana to be mapped to netbanking so that we could transfer money and keep account details online with us and be saved from the unruly behaviors of the so called pos and bank officials.
