In May 2024, I booked an apartment with Casagrand Builders. At the time, the sales representative informed me that a booking amount of ₹1 lakh was required, with a clear assurance that the entire amount would be fully reimbursed if I decided to cancel. While filling out the booking form, I noticed a clause referencing cancellation charges, which I questioned. The sales representative assured me verbally, on multiple occasions, that no charges would be levied, guaranteeing a complete refund.

Due to these assurances, I proceeded with the ₹1 lakh payment online, albeit without signing any terms or conditions. Later, I received an image of the form, bearing the representative's signature, submitted without my consent or knowledge.

In the following month, I also made a 10% payment (₹7.23 lakh) as part of the booking requirements. However, when I received the agreement, I discovered that the project handover date was delayed until June 2027—contrary to the 2026 date initially promised. This discrepancy led me to cancel the booking and request a full reimbursement.

Issue with Refund:
Casagrand Builders is now withholding ₹1.63 lakh from the 10% payment, citing cancellation charges that were never disclosed upfront and without any signed agreement consenting to such deductions. I believe I am entitled to a full refund due to the following reasons:

Verbal Guarantees: Multiple assurances were provided by the sales representative that no cancellation charges would apply.
Lack of Signed Agreement: I have not signed any document consenting to cancellation charges.
