Cashe — EMI Debited twice

On 3rd the EMI was not auto debited. Today I received multiple calls to pay the emi and I paid using UPI. Attached the proof of payment.

Again From Bank the emi got debited for 2nd time.
Please revert this urgently and let me know asap as I am not getting any response from mail, WhatsApp, call

Dear D Nivetha,

We would like to urge you to refrain from making manual payments of your EMIs as you have completed the e-Mandate process for an auto-debit. Making manual payments despite having an e-Mandate towards your loan EMI will result in you paying the same EMI twice from your bank account. We advise you to avoid doing this in the future.

We would like to reiterate that an e-Mandate provides standing instructions to your bank to debit an EMI amount from your bank account automatically on the due date itself. Some banks may auto-debit the EMIs before the EMI date due to a holiday. But be rest assured that the EMI will be auto debited from your bank account and it does not need your intervention.

With regards to the excess debit of the EMI due to manual payment, we assure you that the amount will be refunded to your bank account within 72 hours after the excess amount has been reconciled at our end.

We hope to have your understanding in this regard and avoid making manual payments in the future to avoid further inconvenience.
