Central Board Of Secondary Education [CBSE] — Answer key errors in term1 English board paper

Sir/Ma'am
With due respect, I would like to inform that many errors are displayed in the answer key of 10th English question paper whose question paper code no. is 002/2/4, series no. is JSK/2 and set no. is 4.

Section A Passage II Que 18. Correct answers should be (b) and (d).

Que 18. The purpose of the study is
(a) how to prevent road-kills
(b) to see who is more at risk on the
roads
(c) how to plan better roads
(d) to estimate the number of road
accident victims
Its correct answers should be ( b) and (d).

● Option (b) is correct because it is clearly given in the lines of the unseen passage:

' A better understanding of which species are most vulnerable to roads is therefore important if we are to take a more effective action of protection. A research team based in Lisbon calculated road-kill rates for 423 bird species and 212 mammal species. They found that small animals with high population densities and which mature at an early age were most likely to be killed on roads. '

● Option (d) is correct because it is clearly given in the passage.

' Around 194 millions birds and 29 million mammals are thought to be killed each year on European roads, according to a new study that has ranked the most vulnerable species. A research team based in Lisbon calculated road-kill rates for 423 bird species and 212 mammal species. '

I would acknowledge your efforts to read and understand my complaint letter. I would be highly grateful to you for finding and justifying the above answers as correct.

Hoping for quick and positive response from your team of experts.

Thanking You

Your Faithfully
