Cheapticket.in / Airtickets India — refund of money not given | |||
I booked ticket for 2 from jaipur to bombay on 12 march through cheapticket.in for jet airway flight scheduled on 21:30 I got message by jet airways on 20 march that flight has been cancelled and to contact booking agency. I contacted cheapticket.in and asked for full refund of money and they confirmed about refund on 23 march. After few days i again mailed to confirm about refund status they said refund initiated on 27 march and will be refunded within 7 working days and now its been 7 working days and no one from cheapticket replying and i have not get any refund yet. You did not attach any related document in order to conclude on the exsitance of the debt and the debt amount:-
- the 1st message and e-ticket or PNR BHHQSH with the receipt in figures, following the payment,
- dated jet Airways notification on the cancellation of 20 March exact flight, which stated in your PNR / e-ticket,
- your own complaint on the refund / compensation,
- the reply / decision of the travel agent or of the air carrier.

The passenger is entitled to demand the compensation from the offender via one of Indian authorities:-
1. Depatment General of Civil Aviation, or
2. Customers court (forum) in Indian state, where the passenger is residing, or
3. District court of India in the state, where the passenger is residing.
The procedure before DGCA is not chargable.
The cost of the legal assistance starts from Rs 6000, plus government fees of Rs100 or Rs2000, depending upon a jurisdiction, for such type of cases before the court in india.
It is not mandatory, but it is in the interersts of the passenger,
to hire a lawyer or a legal professional in the civil aviation for the presentation of the case before the court (authoritiy).
