Citibank — inconsistent responses from different representatives

I got a letter from citibank that my citi priority account shall be downgraded to citi proposition if i do not maintain some expected balance of certain amount.

I needed to understand the terms and conditions of citi proposition account so i initiated online chat with citi representative thru online banking.

He gave me a shock of my lifetime by saying that if you wish to downgrade to citi proposition you should maintain 6 monthly value of 50lacs in your account.

I could not believe what he said. I closed the chat and called citi phone officer and recorded the conversation. I was told that i just need to maintain net value of 1 lacs only for citi proposition and it will come with some reduced benefits like less withdrawal power from debit card etc.

What a huge difference in understanding and banking business processes among citi representatives.

Soon i shall be closing all my relationship with citibank. It's just hanky-panky!
