Citibank — Personal loan cancellation

This is regarding citybank personal loan LZXUNT7357995, which is opened 03-Mar-2016. Due to some unexpected issues, I can't continue with this loan, as there will be financial crisis and I will not be able to repay the loan. So I requested citybank to cancel this loan and I am ready to pay back the amount credited in my account, also ready to pay the cancellation charges. As per citybank executives they don't have option of neither cancellation nor close the loan and telling I could close the loan only after 12 months.Most of the banks have an option of cancellation not sure why the same is not available in citybank, since my EMI start for this loan as per the schedule they given is May 2016, since the first EMI will be take too long to start and there will not be any issues with the bank that I am ready to pay pack the loan amount given plus any additional charges, why is it stopping the bank to not to cancel this loan. Please help and provide a resolution on the same.
