Civilian — stage to stage tickets is an extortion

I took 201 bus today -12-9-18 morning around 10:47 am from lido and ticket number -556 to koramangala depot -6 amt 19
Conductor issued ticket from halasuru to sony world which is stage he said it is normal how that issue.
But my question is why i've to pay 4km extra ticket money (Halasuru to lido 2km and koramangala depot to sonyworld 2km) which ive not travelled).

Why there is no stops between stage to stage? We don't have any names for stops between stages? It is there or it is not in ticket issuing device? How may stages are there from vannarpet to depot - viveknagar is a stage, vannarpet is a stage, national games stop is a stage, passport office is a stage, depot is a stage and sonyworld is a stage? So where are the inbetween stops? We have any stops?

Even though metro is costly they will swipe card or tokens for only stop to stops., why this system is not available i'm bmtc facilities?
Why we have two pay extra for stages were we won't get in or get out.

Same happened in the return ticket no 186- depot -4 at 12:46pm - amt 19. They issued ticket from sonyworld to halasuru where i got in from depot and got down in lido

And what's ironic is they won't give 1rs change?

I don't understand the bmtc ticketing system will anyone monitor and change or we have to say extra daily. Nearly lakhs of people commute in buses this is system followed?
