Trip id : [protected] Booking date - sep 1, 2017 Journey from - frankfurt to new delhi Airline - air india Issue: 1. There was no confirmation for the ticket booked and much to my chagrin i realized that cleartrip had never booked my ticket in the first place 2. One, i lost my chance to travel at the time of booking, two, since all flights on that date were re-scheduled for the next day, i lost the opportunity to be provided with food/stay facility offered by the airline as i never had a reservation on their flight, three i spent a whopping rs. 7500/- extra to book the ticket on the spot from the same airline to save which i had traveled from dusseldorf to frankfurt by bus as the flight ticket price was very good 3. I called from frankfurt, spending indian currency on my india calling number as your number would not be answered via my german number, not sure for what reason 4. Now, the story is that recorded cancellation date, that should have been 6 sep 2017 has been entered as 11 sep 2017, a loss of 5 days to start with, which means cleartrip had 5 days to set things in order and retain a customer, if they intended that 5. I write this complaint on the 28 of sep 2017, after nearly a dozen calls to them so far, repeatedly to check and ensure that the refund reaches me 6. I have been "assured" by every single person that i spoke to that my refund shall take place "within 5-7 working days, despite the fact that the web site clearly states it is 3-4 working days 7. By what measure of calculation 3-4 or 5-7 days stretch to 17 days is something i have not been able to understand 8. Today, on call the executive mentioned that it is taking time to"reflect"in your bank account. My counter was"when did you deposit the amount in my bank". Her response was that the entry against my ticket shows us as"in computing". How that has anything to do with my bank is not clear to me 9. I managed to retain my composure and not yell at her despite the"stupidity" of the entire exercise. I asked for a supervisor and was connected to some one who identified himself as a supervisor, though i was not sure whether it really was or not. 10. The supervisor started off well (Mind that all of this conversation is the one on the 17th day of the entire episode) but went back to the same old 3-4 days to process the request, when i countered that what difference would that be considering his cc exec. Had also mentioned the same time frame, he placed me on hold, came back in some time and said it should get processed within the next 24 hours. I asked him who is the next level of escalation but did not receive any response. Am now hoping that having literally mentioning that i shall take legal action on the portal for false promises and failed service and failure to address an issue after service failure, they shall take notice and act on it. Failing which, i shall be forced to seek legal assistance and get after cleartrip in a right royal way. Let me observe and keep you all posted Was this information helpful? | |||||
