Cleartrip — cancelled flights and zero accountability

Flight cancelled ny Air China. Have been following up with Cleartrip for 15 days, but no resolution so far.

Here's the full story



The story begins with an email - Cleartrip sends an email saying a part of the returning flight of the side characters has been cancelled by @AirChinaNA

Of the flight YVR - PEK - BOM, the PEK-BOM part has been cancelled.

I call @Cleartrip @riorover on June 29 requesting for a resolution, as due to my bad luck, I had booked tickets through these morons.


So the very first call from my side was answered by Revati. She said she'd look into it and get back to me in 48 hours (but she didn't).

After 48 hours, I called again, spoke with Riya. She asked for 24 more hours, but like Revati, didn't get back at all. @Cleartrip @riorover the story goes downhill from here for you guys. @makemytrip @YatraOfficial you guys might enjoy this

Then I spoke with Nikhat ( she asked for 12 more hours)

Next day Payal (she said she'll get asap)

Next Day Yuvraj (no commitment)

Next day Pranav (handed phone to supervisor Apoorva)

So, after almost 6-7 days of calling @Cleartrip @riorover and receiving NO CALL BACK whatsoever, I called again on June 6/7 (I'm calling from Canada, so time difference, duh!) and spoke with Rahul Kshitij Sarang.

So, for the first time during this call in so many days, we discussed what options we had :

1. Go with the refund, but the amount of refund unclear and to calculated
2. Check for flights for other days / routes

So, as established in the thread, I was calling @Cleartrip for 7+ days since their email about flight cancellation. Their reason for no resolution so far was "not able to reach @AirChinaNA @airchina " which doesn't sound true. I'm sure it doesn't take 7+ days to get hold of them.


The floor supervisor Sarang Jogale told me that I can either go for a refund, but he didn't know how much money I'd get, or he'll look into this, and get me a flight YVR-PEK-DEL-MUM. He asked for 72 hours to check with the airlines.

He didn't get back to me in 72 hours, and I called again. This time I spoke with Vikash. He asked for 48 hours. And of course Vikash didn't call back in 48 hours. So called them again today. @Cleartrip @riorover are you guys ashamed of this, one bit?

So, after almost 14/15 days of non-stop followup (just from my side), @Cleartrip @riorover have the balls to say that they can only provide a flight from YVR-PEK-DEL or I can take the refund (the amount still unclear)

you guys have ZERO accountability, and are taking absolutely no responsibility here. If I take a refund at this point and book another flight, do you have any idea how much the flight prices have gone up while in the mean time, when you did NOTHING?

And are you aware how much a domestic flight would charge for international luggage of 23kgs x2 per person check-in luggage for 2 passengers? Who is going to pay for that? You can't simply disassociate yourself and ask me to deal with @AirChinaNA @airchina directly

@Cleartrip @riorover The latest person I spoke to after Sarang was Sagar. He was shameless enough to tell me that I should talk to @airchina @AirChinaNA now! If I were to do that, why do people need companies like @Cleartrip ? And what exactly are people like you doing @riorover?



If the airlines cancel a flight, they either give a refund or give an alternate day/ route. @Cleartrip middle-men like you simply eat up customers' time in getting resolution. Airlines don't suffer, you guys don't suffer, but we as customers have to pay for your mistakes!



Should @Cleartrip take some responsibility here? Should they arrange for / pay for some part of the journey / baggage allowance?

It's already passed 50 working days as of today whereas they kept saying 40-45 working days.
I am really upset and frustrated about this company.
I should not trust this company again and never ever chose this company again.
