Cleartrip — charges for extras on spicejet ticket - but spicejet did not receive | |||
On 11th Oct. 2019, as given in Cleartrip order id[protected], I bought a Spicejet airline ticket PNR S6MKPY including 5 kg extra check-in baggage allowance (Spicejet charges 1900 INR for this) for a total of 7879 INR. But the money paid for the extra baggage was not passed on to Spicejet and Spicejet sent me a ticket with no extra baggage allowance and a receipt for 5764 INR. I confrimed with Spicejet customer service that they only received that smaller amount and then paid Spicejet directly for the extra baggage. That seemed my only option, since Cleartrip has been impossible to contact: their 'helpline' excludes human contact, their web contact form does not work in any of my browsers, they give no email and none of the other phone numbers given for them answer my calls. Therefore I now want a refund of the difference between the two amounts which is 2115 INR, or at least of the 1900 INR paid directly to Spicejet for the extra baggage. I feel that Cleartrip should be ashamed of themselves for being so hard to contact, and I wish they could be penalized for the inconvenience caused by their mistake.
