[Resolved] Cleartrip — Delayed Refund | |
On 6th July, at around 4:00pm or so, I filled out all the
details for a hotel booking at Srinagar. It showed a fare of around Rs9, 849. No
sooner had I pressed 'submit' that I got an SMS saying that my bank account had
been debited (I had used the debit card facility of my banker) with the said
amount.
In the mean time a message flashed online that the
transaction had 'failed'. I had no clue of what happened. I checked my bank
account. Yes, the amount had been debited.
So, I presumed that there was some glitch and called a
customer support number of Clear trip. I was a bit disturbed since I did not
have any reference number. The person who attended my call resolved that by
checking with my email ID. He said that
the booking was not made due to some 'link' not working! I tried to probe
further, but got no farther.
He told me that my money would be 'reversed' within 2-3 days
and that I should made the payment again, which I did (this time with net
banking facility)and got the booking through (Trip ID : [protected]).
After 3 days I again called a customer support number, this
time the guy on the other side said it takes 6-7 days and it automatically get
credited in your account. I checked my bank account to see if the amount was
credited. No. Clear trip was still holding on to the money for a 'failed'
transaction!
I called them up and once again was given a spin as to why

As per our records, the transaction attempted under Trip id - [protected] shows declined, which means, the amount has not been credited to our account.
We request you to check this with your issuing bank as this might be a block on your card and the same has to be released by them.
