Cleartrip — No refund on cancellation

I booked roundtrip tickets for three passengers from mumbai to chennai (31 july 2017 and return 27th aug) on spicejet678 through cleartrip. I wanted to book for 26th august and apparently booked it for 27th – call it a technical glitch or whatever. I cancelled the tickets within 4 hours and re-booked for 26th aug. My entire amount for the 27th august ticket was forfeited, and i had to pay additional 6207 rupees. This is so unfair. I had paid 12, 588 earlier and on re-booking for 26th aug, i had to pay additional 6207.

Please be informed that in view of your request, we have waived off the cancellation fee charged against above-mentioned PNR and an amount of INR 4914 in total has been refunded to the concerned travel agency account. You may contact them for any further refund claim.

We would be happy to assist you, should you require any further clarification.

But Clear Trip is refusing to refund the money. They claim that we have charged you the amendment fee. The amendment fee was 6207 rupees.
