Cleartrip — non refund of my air fare by clear trip despite of so many reminders | |||
Respected sir/madam, I hope this email finds your goodself in healthy and spirited state of body and mind. I would like to draw your kind attention towards shoddy service of airline operators and how nonchalantly they play with consumers money with literally no accountability. Sir i had booked an air travel ticket from delhi to goa and back for my travel dates 01 april 2020 to 4th april 2020 via clear trip booking site with reference trip id[protected]. The total cost of my fare was rs 33, 524/- and the receipt is attached below. When the lockdown was declared by our hon’ble prime minister on 22nd of march 2020, i cancelled my trip on 23rd march 2020 taking a proactive call on widespread pandemic and as a law abiding citizen adhering to guidelines laid down by goi for prohibiting travels. Now after cancellation i have been incessantly taking and requesting my refund of rs 33, 524/- from clear trip and also to the concerned airlines spice jet and vistara just to get no refunds till date or only to hear from them that - “we checked your refund status with our finance team. Due to the current covid-19 lock down situation, unfortunately there has been a delay in getting the refunds processed. This is because we are receiving a huge number of refund requests from our customers as well as we are operating with very limited resources. Our finance team is trying hard to process as many requests as is humanly possible to meet timelines.”. This message is simply auto generated and which keeps appearing every time i write an email to them for my refund. It seems clear trip is simply dodging me by throwing the ball into airlines court and vice versa. Also nobody is there to either assist or pick up our calls from customer care service desk from clear trip. Sir, with this kind of service its very difficult for a normal citizen to trust these aviation tour operators like clear trip and allow them to play with our hard earned money. I have been suffering such mental agony that it is undescribable. I request you to kindly intervene in order to address to my grievance and help me to get my refund from clear trip.
