My outward journey from Riyadh to Mumbai was cancelled by Kuwait Airways (Trip ID:[protected], PNR: 9R2O2D).
I contacted Kuwait Airways regarding rescheduling my journey, but seats were not available on any of the operational flights. As per the email I received from Kuwait Airways, I am eligible for a full refund of my ticket.
Today, I spoke to a Cleartrip agent (Zahida Bano) in the morning. I clearly informed her that I was calling from Saudi Arabia on an international call. She put me on hold for 15 minutes, and the total call duration was around 40 minutes. I requested her to process the refund of my entire ticket amount, as Kuwait Airways had cancelled my journey.
She informed me that for the waiver of the convenience fee, she would forward the request to her manager and that I would receive a callback from the manager at 11:00 AM IST.
I waited until 12:30 PM IST, but I did not receive any call from Cleartrip.
So, I called again at 12:35 PM IST and spoke to another agent (Klingel). I explained the entire situation again and requested her to transfer my call to her manager. Instead, she put my call on hold for more than 8 minutes (twice) and then transferred my call to her colleague (Sharma).
This agent behaved arrogantly, as if he were the CEO of Cleartrip. He was not willing to listen to me. I requested him five times to transfer the call to his manager, but he refused to do so. He kept arguing about company policy, whereas I clearly informed him that I had already received an email from Mr. Neil Jeffries (Superintendent Ticketing, Mumbai) confirming that I am entitled to a full refund.
This is such awful service from Clear trip customer support staff.
Please do not ever book tickets through Clear trip.
