Cleartrip — uae visit visa delay | |
I had applied for uae visit visa via cleartrip on 18th may and received the visa on 19th may 2019. However the traveler details mentioned were not matching with the passport (Name, dob & place of birth). I contacted cleartrip for rectification and i was promised a 48 hour window to get the corrected visa. It has been 8 days since and issue is not resolved yet. The person is travelling in 2 days and i am yet to get any update on the visa, inspite of applying well in advance. Due to such delay, i am in the verge of losing out on the flight tickets, visa charges and hotel bookings etc. Every day i make calls to customer care number and get the same reply, asking for 24 hour period to resolve the issue. I am unable to apply for a fresh visa because the visa from cleartrip is still active. I asked for cancellation of the visa also, so that i can apply as fresh from my end. I was informed that cancellation is not possible too. So neither will cleartrip provide visa on time (For me to update ok to board status) nor will they allow cancellation of the visa for me to apply for a new one. The person travelling is going abroad for the first time and this has caused much hassle which otherwise could have been a smooth trip for that person. Also there has also been zero response to any of my mails. The customer care people also have standard response everytime the call is being made. Promise to call back never happens too.
