Club Jiva — Unethical behaviour

Like many other people before us, we got conned into paying a large sum for a 5-year membership at Club Jiva. Now that we are members, trying to avail of any service from Club Jiva has proven to be an absolute nightmare.

Their model is very simple. They'll take your money and make you think that you can book rooms at nice resorts through them. When you actually try to make a booking they will make you go through many days of repeated follow ups and calls only to tell you that the resort you wanted to book has no availability.

They never call you to update you. Every time you try to call them, they pass you on to a different customer rep so that you never speak to the same person twice. So you have to repeat your request to them and explain the whole situation every single time.

When you call them, they tell you they have sent the request to the hotel and that they will let you know within 2 days, 3 days, 2 hours, 1 hour - whatever. They will never call you back.

When you call them repeatedly for around 12 days, they will tell you that the resort in question does not have any availability because it is peak season.

When you inform them that other booking sites are still offering rooms at the same resort you asked for - and for those same dates that you are looking for, they have no answer.

So basically, I should have kept my money and booked whatever resort I wanted through makemytrip or booking.com - it would have been well worth the extra cost.

I truly regret my decision to buy a membership with Club Jiva. They are clearly one of the most unethical companies out there. I hope that collective action will eventually shut them down.

Can't believe that anyone with a conscience can run a business like they are. I feel truly cheated.
